Introduction
Innovation management is a combination of innovative processes and change
management that has the potential to manage all activities linked with the business
communities. Innovation is a key factor of the business which is capable to ensure
success and a sustainable business future in the right direction (Alvesson, and
Sveningsson, 2015). With the help of innovative techniques and approaches,
companies may enhance organizational culture and resolve complexity related issues.
This research focuses on the relation between innovation management and
organizational culture. The key research question behind this investigation is “what are
the major aspects of innovation management and organizational culture?” This report
will describe numerous methodologies used in the study for completing the task and
expected findings will be included along with the conclusion.
Research methodology
Introduction
It is the specific process utilized for determining, selecting and processing information
linked to the investigation topic. In the case of a research article, the methodology
portion enables the students to critically evaluate the reliability and validity of an
investigation. Aman, (2019) reported that there are main two questions addressed in the
methodology section such as how was the data gathered? And how was it evaluated
and analyzed? In the case of an investigation, research methodology refers to a set of a
systematic process that has the capability to guide investigators for completing the
research in a reliable way. The main strength of a research methodology is that it
develops a critical and scientific attitude for completing the research.
It is found that research methodology is an organized, hypothetical examination of the
techniques applied to investigations. Bag, (2018) examined that methodology in
research comprises the subjective examination of the form of techniques and values
linked with a branch of experience in the case of the research topic. Generally, it
includes numerous ideas, for example, pattern, subjective model, stages and

measurable or qualitative methods. The significance of the investigation methodology is
to improve the experience in the area of innovation management and organizational
culture. There are different types of research methods used in the paper, for instance,
investigation philosophy, enterprise, tactic, and data gathering methodology and data
analysis techniques. Furthermore, the quantified methodologies may be supportive to
enhance the quality and reliability of investigation using the above techniques and
approaches.
Research onion framework
The investigation method contains study approaches, techniques, and plans that are
adopted by the investigators for collecting effective information in order to realize the
examination objectives. Because of this process, the investigator adopted the onion
framework for developing a depth understanding of the relation of research techniques
and tools. Bortolotti, Boscari, and Danese, (2015) reported that the research onion
framework is used for generating the appropriate sympathetic of the techniques utilized
in the research. It is capable to enhance the investigation quality in a reliable manner by
providing depth information related to the research concerns. It is argued that the
research framework is used in the study as it is helpful to examine the effective
techniques and tools for completing the research in the right direction.
Research philosophy
It plays an authoritative character to create rational cognitive for gathering, examining,
and operating info. The main aim of the philosophy is to appliance the thoughts and
sentiments concerning the investigation issues. Moreover, the opinions of investigators
become a basis for investigation techniques (Developing a Resilient, Innovative
Organizational Culture, 2016). It is found that research philosophy contains different
types of elements, for example, interpretivism and positivism. Philosophy in the
research plays a crucial character in making a balanced cognitive for obtaining,
examining, and handling concerns in the investigation. The major purpose of this
section is to implement the concepts and viewpoints in regards to the research
concerns in the investigation. Du Plessis and Pretorius, (2018) examined that the
positivism type of philosophy mainly emphasizes on figures and facts obtained through

observation. While interpretivism process is used for providing depth information related
to the investigation concern.
For this research, interpretivism philosophy is used by the writer for enhancing the
quality of investigation. The key reason for utilizing such a methodology is that it is
completely linked to the logical situation of idealism. It is helpful to highlight numerous
approaches in regards to the investigation issues. It is found that the chosen topic for
the research is grounded on subjective behavior due to which the writer adopted
interpretivism philosophy while conducting the investigation. Therefore, it is stated that
the involvement of such methodology helped to manage the flow of data in the entire
research and enhance research quality in a reliable manner.
Research approach
Dubey, et al., (2017) inspected that the research approach is an important section of
practice due to their potential to identify the reasons for choosing the specific procedure
of research. This type of methodology is divided into numerous sections including
inductive and deductive approaches. It is demonstrated that the inductive kind of
approach is generally adopted for assessing the depth information of facts and figures
and also created theoretical aspects regarding the research issue. In difference to this,
a deductive type of approach is used where the investigators require constructing the
research hypothesis. By utilizing the construction of the research hypotheses, the
investigators may receive better resolutions for addressing research concerns (Eisend,
Evanschitzky, and Gilliland, 2016).
For this investigation, the inductive approach is utilized by the investigator because of
the theoretical nature of the investigation. This kind of approach is helpful because of its
relevancy with interpretivism philosophy. It is demonstrated that while using the
inductive approach the researcher does not require constructing the hypothesis. Using
such an approach the investigator is capable to pool the larger data sets linked with the
innovation management and organizational culture. Moreover, it helped the writer to
solve the various thoughts and beliefs and also reflect the info for concluding the result.

Research design
Elsbach and Stigliani, (2018) reported that a research design is an appropriate
methodology utilized in the papers for outlining the structure of the investigations. With
the help of research design, an investigation may get the correct direction to understand
the study related concerns and issues in order to gather appropriate information.
Howson, et al., (2019) stated that research design aids the investigators to the proposal
about the process of study and allows them to mark a response to the various questions
in regards to the research work. Various shorts of designs include in research, for
example, quantitative and qualitative (Kasemsap, 2017).
Quantitative design helps writers to obtain numerical data with the help of statistical
technique. It also allows the investigators to gather opinions and develop a number of
hypotheses. On the other hand, the qualitative design supports the investigator to obtain
theoretical information related to the research and help to achieve designed research
objectives.
In this business research, the qualitative design is adopted for completing the research
in the right direction. It helped the investigator to obtain a huge amount of data sets
related to innovation management and organizational culture. With the help of such
design, the writer gathered secondary data and solved the research questions in less
time (Martínez-Costa, et al., 2019). A literature review is included for understanding the
opinions of previous investigators in regard to the innovation management and
organizational culture. A questionnaire is also added for gathering primary data in the
research. The developed questions highlighted in the appendix section where the data
or facts were gathered.
Research strategy
Marinaro and Liu, (2017)determined that research strategy is helpful for an investigation
for assessing the data collecting ways by which investigation may be conducted in an
appropriate manner. There are different strategies that enable investigators to conduct
effective and appropriate research outcomes. These research strategies may be a
questionnaire, literature review and many more. The literature review accepted in the
study for gaining secondary data linked to innovation management where the writer

evaluated the results of recent papers and identified drawbacks of these articles. The
questionnaire helped to gather effective points about structural philosophy and
innovation organization. In the case of literature review, different kinds of resources
adopted such as peer-reviewed papers, offline sources, journal papers, online websites
and many more. Therefore, using such strategies the writer adopted appropriate points
in the research and managed the research gaps that happened in recent studies.
Data gathering method
According to Naqshbandi, Kaur, and Ma, (2015), data collection is the effective
methodology used in the research for attaining the developed goals and objectives
because it allows the writers to pool the information efficiently. Two shorts of techniques
used in the data collection, for example, primary and secondary data. In this way, the
primary sort of data is collected from fresh resources that include focus group,
comment, interview, and survey. On the other hand, the secondary kind of data is
gathered from sources including peer-reviewed documents, books, online sites, and
many more. The major difference among these methods is that primary data provide
fresh information while secondary data deliver reviewed information collected from
recent studies. In this investigation, secondary data is collected using a questionnaire
and literature searches. The major strength of this methodology is to enhance the
research quality that helped to gather appropriate points towards the research topic.
Sampling technique
NaranjoValencia, JimenezJimenez, and SanzValle, (2017) determined that the
sampling procedure is generally applied to select the example from the larger amount of
population for gathering reliable data. Two sorts of sampling methods could be used in
research containing probability and non-probability techniques. Probability sampling is
utilized to deliver an equal chance to respond in the investigation. On the other hand, a
non-probability technique is used where no equal chance is provided to reply in an
investigation. In this research, the non-probability technique is adopted for obtaining
effective journal papers and peer-reviewed articles related to innovation management
and organizational culture. It is determined that the chosen methodology provided a way
to gather larger data sets and obtain effective points and information. Therefore, it is

reported that the involvement of these methods helped to enhance research quality and
managed research gaps that occurred in recent investigations.
Ethical consideration
For this investigation, ethical consideration is included for conducting the investigation
process in a reliable way along with succeeding the rules of the University. Because of
evading the ethical difficulties, the investigator executed the ethical process to complete
the investigation (Nowacki, and Bachnik, 2016). In which the writer focused on several
key elements including the abolition of plagiarism, data operation, and precise
referencing. In addition, it can also be supposed that the investigator maintained the
confidentiality of data and provided in-text citation in every paragraph.
Data analysis
Ponnuswamy and Manohar, (2016) examined that data examination is a vital section of
practice because it delivers reliable and precise outcomes in the investigation.
Numerous techniques comprise in the data examination methodology such as Excel,
content analysis, and many more. In this research, the descriptive content type of
methodology is used for analyzing the obtained secondary data from the literature
review (Prado-Gascó, Pardo, and Pérez-Campos, 2017). The key strength of this
methodology is that it helped to find suitable results in the exploration. It attained the
goal and an objective of the investigation is a specified time period. It is found that the
chosen methodologies delivered a reliable way to comprehensive the study in the right
way and reduced the research gaps effectively. The adopted data collection techniques
supported to obtain a huge amount of data related to innovation management and
organizational culture.

BUSINESS RESEARCH METHODOLOGY 9
and solved the research questions effectively. It is true that the utilization of secondary
and qualitative methods managed the gaps in the research and reduced the research
queries in less time. The research problem highlighted in the previous sections resolved
by using literature review and appropriate methodologies, for example, qualitative
design, data gathering, and data analysis methods. This paper also reviewed the
findings and outcomes of recent papers in the relation of innovation management and
organizational culture by which the readers can enhance their skills and understand the
importance of innovation in the business communities. Therefore, it is recommended
that the companies must adopt innovation management and focus on the issues
occurred in the communities in order to enhance organizational culture. The major
drawback of the paper is that the researcher did not obtain fresh and primary data that
affected the quality of research and produced research gaps. The future research will
conduct a close-ended survey in order to obtain fresh information related to the
research topic and analyses using SPSS tools for enhancing research quality.
