Reflection report
1. Evaluate the effectiveness and your usefulness of the learning experience
This business research has developed my understanding regarding advantages and
disadvantages of business outsourcing. This learning would be effective to use it in the
business practices. I observed that outsourcing is an effective procedure that is executed by
the company to manage their limitations like cost and time. It is also examined that business
outsourcing activity is the business procedure wherein the large organization deliver their
daily business activity to the third party organization for attaining huge amount of consumers
(LiuWang and Huang, 2017). It could be imperative for managing the time and cost in the
organization. This learning was imperative for improving my professional career that would
support me to manage the outsourcing of business functions.
The literature review section part supports to critically analyse the pros and cons of
outsourcing business function. In this way, I have pointed that outsourcing is applied in the
procedure of business in terms of outsourcing their business functions to third party Company
for declining the organisation’s burden. The multinational companies could outsource their
consumer’s services to the third party Organization, which has the higher skill to manage the
business functions and obtain a reliable outcome (Solli-Sætherand Gottschalk, 2015). This
business outsources could be used by me to control the business activity of the company in
the upcoming period. As a result, I will be capable to effectively outsource the business
function to their third party company. It is analysed that outsourcing could be discussed
through the vendors who take responsibilities regarding human resource management, quality
management, asset management, and production process. It would be imperative for using
outsourcing in my firm to enhance the growth of business at international level.
I have gained my learning about the Positivism of outsourcing on firm’s production. In this
way, I have observed that judgment on outsourcing is based on the ‘make or buy’ in which a

business assess the decision to develop the cost-benefit of adopting the business. It is also
focused that outsourcing is a significant element, which is applied to economize expenses
from the production.
I enhanced my experience towards advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing the business
activity. Through this, I understood that outsourcing offers many opportunities to the
organization for concentrating on their primary activities rather than wasting their cost and
time on the secondary activity. I also analyzed that outsourcing is effective to improve the
quality of business caused by limited business activity. It would also support to increase my
professional and personal career. From the literature review, it is evaluated that outsourcing
of business activity could be effective for improving the operational efficiency at least time
and cost. Through this, I have also analyzed that specialization in the outsourcing could
support me to gain the efficiency of business in the least time. It is also analyzed that
outsourcing could also help to decline the employee turnover from the organization that could
support to improve the quality of business (Solli-Sætherand Gottschalk, 2015). Consequently,
this research is effective for me to obtain success in the upcoming period. This business
research study has enhanced my understanding towards the outsourcing of business activity.
Through this way, it would be examined that outsourcing is effective for improving the
performance of the business as it would also support the organization to expand their business
at international level. This learning experience was also supportive to improve my proficient
skills.
2. Explain how this learning process will be useful to you
From the leaning procedure, it is evaluated that outsourcing of business activity could create
the language barrier for the organization. I analyzed that if the customer services are
outsourced to another country as it could create the difficulty to interact with different
languages. As a result, it would create higher probabilities of dissatisfaction level among the

consumers that would negatively impact on the growth of the business. This learning
experience was beneficial for me to focus on pros and cons of applying the outsourcing in the
Business practices. I enhanced my experience about their party as it would decline the
complexity of outsourcing the business activity. Through this, I have observed that
outsourced workforces could not have the best knowledge about the aim and objectives as
permanent workforces. This learning experience was effective for effectively outsourcing the
business function in long-term. Consequently, it could be imperative for improving my
career.
From the assignment 2, I have pointed that the firm can get benefit by using the outsourcing
in its production as it emphasizes on core activities as compared to non-core activities. I have
also learned that a company could be competent to outsource the business function such as
legal facilities, marketing, and research and it is a continuation to deal with the other
activities. This learning will be useful for me to participate in the outsourcing of business
function.
This assignment has also increased my understanding regarding ways of outsourcing that
firms uses in their production to effective utilization of resources. This assignment also
presents the findings of Japanese labor market. From this finding, I have observed that
outsourcing could negatively influence the demand for low skilled labor and favorably
influenced the high skilled demand forlabor. I have also learned that outsourcing contributes
indirectly to the production function of a company as I can use outsourcing to spread the
uncertainties with third parties.
I have also gained my learning firms can use the internal resources as well as energies for
increasing their return as it would lead them to increase the output. From the assignment 2, I
have pointed that production can be increased as the company will implement production
techniques and superior techniques to manufacture more rather than focusing on the activities

that are done by the company itself. This learning would be applied by me to increase the
productivity at the workplace. I have also observed that outsourcing is key practices within
the firm that aids to generate the competitive benefits in the marketplace. As a result, I
become competent to use outsourcing of business function in an organization.
3. Describe objectively what happened in the learning process
As per the literature review, I learned that when the organization spends high amount
resources like factories and machinery then the organization should outsource their business
activity to their third party. In addition, it could be supportive to manage investment
expenditure of the company. This research supports to improve my technical and professional
skills that would improve the organizational performance. Through the proposal of research,
it is pointed that authorized conformity as well as security concern could be built during the
business process. It is also examined that outsources process might be controlled and ensured
that organization considers system security and legal compliance (Patiland Wongsurawat,
2015). Moreover, I have improved my learning that outsourcing has led to declining
overheads, increased efficiency, competitive functions and constant job performance. I have
also increased my understanding regarding uses of IT outsourced alternative is appropriate
for controlling the cash-short cash needs and lesser financial base. Assignment 2 was also
useful for me to develop the understanding regarding uses of outsourcing in firm’s
production. In this way, I have learned that the operational and process outsourcing is fixed to
delegate the particular process. It is evaluated that steps and techniques in a production
procedure are data analysis and cloud computing. This assignment was also effective for me
to understand the concept of firm’s production. In this way, I have gained my experience that
firm’s production demonstrates a procedure by which transformation of inputs is completed
with the intention of attaining the expected outcome by value addition. Moreover, it is also
examined that outsourcing could support to enhance the work quality, decline compliance,

increased productivity, and lower labor cost (Chou, Techatassanasoontorn, and Hung, 2015).
It would positively impact on the organizational performance.
I have also increased my knowledge about the outsourcing practices at the workplace. In this
way, I have learned that outsourcing enables a company to reduce the opportunity expenses
from the business operation and carryout the cost saving in order to assess the business
function. It is also pointed that outsourcing leads to effective result and productivity as per
the return per employees.
4. Evaluate what you learn
The business research was beneficial for me to develop my research proficiency as it has
facilitated me detail facts and figures associated with the distinct procedure for completing
the investigation. Moreover, I have gained my understanding with regards to methodology of
research as well as research design. In such manner, it is pointed that research methodology
demonstrates the different technique, which would be applied to complete the research and
pooling the information regarding research concern. As a result, I am enabled to apply the
research methodology to complete the investigation in a chronological manner. It is also
evaluated that outsourcing could lead the firm to better performance and higher competitive
benefit (Runar Edvardsson and Durst, 2014). In addition, it is also addressed that outsourcing
could also enable the company to distribute their secondary services and obtain higher
advantages.
5. Explain your learning process
The key cause of applying different activities within investigation is to complete the aim and
objectives of investigation in predetermined time. It is pointed that mixed design of research
will apply to attain the investigation because it contains the features of both quantitative and
qualitative designing of research. Consequently, it has facilitated me to acquire the reliable as
well as valid outcome in an appropriate manner.

I have pointed that qualitative research is the naturalistic technique for acquiring the detailed
knowledge regarding the social phenomenon. In this way, it identified that the research
instrument applied in quantitative research such as survey questionnaire that framed for high-
end pooling of primary information (Gerbl, et. al., 2015). I have chosen the research strategy
that was difficult to me to obtain the accurate result. In such case, I have pointed that
researcher has implemented both quantitative and qualitative research approach to maintain
the research quality. It observed that qualitative research strategy used to pool the facts in
terms of belief, ideas and customer’s opinion. In opposed to this, I have identified that
quantitative research strategy applied to pool the numerical figures and facts.
Through the research methodology, I have developed my understanding regarding data
gathering tool. In such way, I have developed my understanding regarding data pooling tool
to conduct the research. I have analyzed that primary data is gathered via interview whereas
secondary data is gathered through different journals, textbook, articles and online sources.
This learning experience was significant for me to apply the business practices in the long
term. I have increased my comprehension with respect to technique of sampling. In this way,
I have pointed that simple random sampling method exercised in which each respondent has
the equal chance for choosing the participants without any biases. Moreover, it evaluated that
the primary and secondary data collection method used to collect reliable data. The primary
data collection method considers the survey through questionnaire and interview while the
secondary data collection method considers literature review to collect the data (Hunter and
Saunders, 2017). I also observed that the secondary data collection method also gathered by
available source. I also observed that the primary data collection method is costly than the
secondary data collection method. I also learned that both positive and negative impact of
outsourcing was analyzed by me as, it would support to obtain a reliable outcome in the least
time and cost.

From the assignment 2, I have gained my understanding the additional areas of expenditure
entail the legal challenges that can largely vary across distinct part of the world. I have also
identified that business organization should use higher level advisory as it would enable me
to make sure outsourcing procedure of business transaction.
This learning experience was beneficial for me to become a good investigator as I have
developed my deep knowledge towards selecting the applicants. Consequently, I have built
my skills as well as competencies for generating the reliable and valid outcome of the
investigation. This business research would be appropriate for me to enhance my awareness
regarding ethical consideration as I will enable to complete the investigation in an ethical
way. It is assessed that an investigator must maintain the safety and privacy of participants to
complete the investigation in an ethical manner.
6. Explain Plan how this learning you will apply
From the assignment 3, I have also developed my understanding that research will use
detective approach as it would aid to assess the existing theory regarding outsourcing of
business operation. I have gained my experience regarding inductive approach as it would aid
an investigator to develop new theories to deal with the issue of outsourcing business unit
under the existing global atmosphere. This learning would be applied by me to use feasible
approaches in research. It has increased my comprehension regarding designing of research.
In this way, it is evaluated that descriptive type would be applied to make use of appropriate
research structure as it could be implemented by me to construct the research questionnaire
for an interview as well as a survey in the research.
From the proposal of research, I have built my awareness with respect to limitation of
investigation. In such case, I have identified that there is some limitation, which could raise at
the time of conducting the investigation. These limitations of research are size of sample,
time and cost of research. It would be focused by me in order to make further development in

professional life.
This research has built my understanding about the scheduling of research. In this way, I have
observed that Gantt chart executed to the graphical representation of scheduling of research.
Consequently, this investigation could be beneficial to attain each activity in specific time.
This learning applied to become a good business researcher for developing understanding
about effect of outsourcing in firm’s production.
