INTRODUCTION
In the current business environment there is continuous development within the
technology which is used by the hospitality industry. It is necessary for the organization to adopt
different changes by bringing technology and innovation within the firms functioning at different
operations (Graham, 2018). It is important for organization to achieve its business objectives so
that it can manage different functions and achieve its business objectives. The chosen
organization in this report is Hilton hotels and resort, it is a global organization which is
providing its services in hospitality industry and the flagship of American multinational
hospitality company Hilton. Company is operating 586 Hilton hotels and resort where it offers
more than 200000 rooms in 85 countries to its customers for satisfying their needs and
requirements regarding hospitality industry and their services (Murphy, Hofacker and Gretzel,
2017). Under this research report there is a discussion on the aims and objectives of the research
report which is related to investigate the impact of managing technology and innovation in
improvement of organizational performance. This report is consisting of a literature review,
research methodology, implementation, evaluation of the individual, research plan.
LITERATURE REVIEW
The role of technology and innovation within an organization
Lundvall, (2016), Technology innovation play an important role within the organization
and developing various kind of functions as well as achieving the goals and objectives in an
appropriate time by identification of a path on which organization can work in particular
direction and achieve its business objectives by combining with technology and innovation
within the. Author also determined that there is various kind of technology which can be used by
the organization and there are various roles of technology and innovation within the firm which
are important for the organization for achieving its business objectives. The major role which is
played by the technology within the organization is to improve its functioning and provide a
simple way to reduce the effort of human resources so that motivation within the human
resources can be maintained for increasing the productivity and achieving the business
objectives. Innovation also helps organization in achieving its business objectives as well as
bringing the new technology within the firm so that it can satisfy the needs and requirements of
customer and maintain them for a longer period of time. Innovation helps the organization in

identification of different tools in technology which can be used to improve the function hotel
and achieving their business objectives.

According to the viewpoint of Khalili, (2016) there are various methods which can be
used by the organizations manager to implement innovation within the organization.
Organization can use the formulation of different teams which can easily collect the resources
and implementing innovative idea within the fern so that the most innovative idea can be adopted
which is developed by the research and development department of the organization and creating
different teams to implement this idea will also benefit in using the innovative concepts and for
the development of organization function. Flexibility is also important part while implementing
the concept of innovation within the organization, this is because flexibility is necessary to
implement the concept of innovation and achieve the objectives. By the use of flexibility
employee will not resist with the changes implemented in the innovative techniques and methods
used by organization. This will help organization in reducing the chances of failure as well as
easily adoption of changes within the firm. This will also help organization in achieving
maximum productivity and motivating the employees so that they can easily adopt innovation
within the firm and can implement it on various functions.

business goals and objectives. Author states that the major challenges faced by the organization
are related to allocation of resources, strategy formulation, change management and tackling
market issue. In relation to allocation of resources there are various types of resources which has
to be arranged according to the technology and innovation adopted by the hotel. Author states
that by adopting technology and innovation within the organization will help the firm in
achieving its business objectives but for implementing these changes organization has to allocate
different resources in appropriate way. It is a challenge for the organization to identify the new

implement at the time of performing research activities an appropriate time duration.
BUSINESS RESEARCH PLAN EVALUATION
For conducting this research project, I have used different methods such as research
philosophy, research design, research approach, data collection, sampling and many more. All
these are effective in attaining of research aims and objectives in stipulated time frame. Thus, it
is crucial for me to select appropriate research methodology in which I have done all the research
activities in an effective manner. For collecting information, I have used primary and secondary
methods to collected authentic and detailed information that directly contributes in
accomplishing reliable results. In addition to this, Questionnaires is also prepared by me in

acquiring first hand information directly from selected respondents on the basis of research topic.
In this, questionnaires is an effective means of measuring the overall behaviour, attitude,
intentions, opinion, preference of selected respondents that is more cheap and quick as compare
to other methods. By using this method, I have collect relatively quickly information on the basis
of research topic. Along with this, questionnaires is also includes both open and closed ended
questions that asked from selected respondents directly to collect authentic information. One of
the main advantage of using this method is that it is less time consuming method by which I have
easily gathered huge information through respondents.
In addition to this, I have also used deductive research approach because it is quite
beneficial and effective in gathering quantitative analysis of research topic. As it includes many
rules that is more explicitly and quickly explained. Deductive research approach is also allow
more time for practice and application that can be beneficial in making the overall result more
authentic. Another effectiveness of implementing deductive research approach is that it is time
saving and at the same time also assist in providing reliable data through which I had develop a
valid and authentic conclusion. Furthermore, for addressing the overall research questions, both
primary and secondary method of data collection is beneficial as it help in acquiring in-depth and
authentic information. In context of future research these methods are also beneficial by which I
can improving the possibilities of attaining authentic results. Along with this, positivism research
philosophy is also used be me in undertaking this research as it is effective in analysing the
behaviour of selected respondents on the basis of identified research topic. This can be
appropriate in setting the hypotheses and at the same time also empirical experimentation to test
existing theory in order to get deep analysis. It may analysis or measures the overall results and
then make right judgement. For maintaining the reliability of research, I have also follow all the
code of conducts that may assist in developing an ethical and successful research activities.
