Effectiveness and usefulness of learning experience
I feel that my learning has been immense in this course. I have learnt from the course of
Business Research that it is important to understand the basics of the subject. I was not sure
about the aspects of mobile computing. I came to know that mobile computing has both good
and bad sides. I reviewed all the IT journals and came to know about the entire process of digital
computing This process has made me quite self-aware about the process. I have witnessed the
interviews of the IT managers and understood the real challenges of them.
My opinions concerning the learning process has been very high. I have actually learnt a
lot of things from this business research course. I was unaware of conducting a literature review.
After doing this course, I learnt how to compare and contrast the multiple viewpoints of various
authors. I was also not aware of the data collection process earlier, but after this course, I have
become more confident in this aspect.
After going through this course, I have given immense value to the learning process and
have become more confident about making a research proposal in an effective manner.
Usefulness of the learning process
The learning process after this course has been immense. This course has helped me in
the understanding of the different tactics of gathering the right data for making the research
proposal. I have understood the different nuisances of the mobile computing and have learnt
about the practical implications.
The course module has helped me to become confident about the various aspects of the
research process. Earlier, I was not aware of the different sections of the research, but after this
course, I am confident about making one. In the future, I may have to prepare a dissertation, then

I would be able to apply the learnings of my present course into it. I am aware about the basic
components in a dissertation and have mastered the pre-requisite of completing each section.
Major events of the learning process
I am extremely content with the learning process. I have done major in-depth research on
a number of journals and scholarly articles. This has enabled me to assess the validity of data.
This has also helped me to learn the attributes of searching the right documents in the right
manner. I have been researching on the most recent advancements in mobile computing and
hence I got exposure to many international journals and publications. This has made me more
aware about the issue. I have spoken with IT teams of the multinational companies which helped
me to learn the actual scenario of the mobile computing. I also learned the day to day issues they
have in working with the various mobile computing platforms. I have also heard about the fact
that mobile computing needs real security installations. I have understood the fact that the
organizations need to focus deeply on protecting their confidential data and should implement
security mechanisms.
Evaluation of learnings
I have gained both theoretical as well as practical approach from the course. I was
unaware about how to formulate perfect research hypothesis, on which the research would be
based on. I have also learnt the art of making a strong literature review. I was unable to search
for information on the research topic and hence earlier my research was not strong. But, after this
course, I am more confident about how to find the exact topics by modifying the key words
searched. I have observed that I am able to search online for information in a more precise
manner.

Overall explanation of learning process
I have performed a detailed literature review on my first assignment, which helped me to
understand that how can I represent the opinions of multiple authors in a better way. I have done
the comparative analysis, which has helped me to master the art of contrasting the views of
several authors in a collaborative manner.
In the second assignment, I have performed the gap analysis and analyzed the various
gaps that were present in the literature review before. I have found out that there are several gaps
in the literature review, which needs to be addressed. This has helped me to design the research
topic of my second assignment. I was not aware of the process of sampling of data and had no
idea of selecting a particular sampling process, However, I have learnt about simple random
sampling and stratified random sampling after I have completed my second assignment. I have
also become aware of the data analysis process. I was not aware that Microsoft Excel can be used
for gaining suitable conclusions about particular data set. I have understood the fact that the
research methodology is an important part of research. I have also realized the importance of
data collection methods and the subsequent application of the data analysis tools. I have
understood that it is also important to write down and accept the various limitations that were
faced during the research process. I have found that it is justified that I accept the various
obstacles that I might face while performing the research. I also did the timeline for this research
and understood how to map a Gantt Chart for this purpose.
Application of the learning from course
I would be able to apply the learning from this course to my future profession. I was not
aware about the entire concept of mobile computing as this is a relatively new field being used

by organizations. Furthermore, I thought that this process has only good sides but I was never
aware about the bad effects of the mobile computing. I did not know how to write a research
proposal and now I am confident about it. I would apply this knowledge in making dissertations
in my future academic or professional life. I would apply the knowledge in my future
professional life as I need to implement mobile computing. I would be able to handle the
challenges of mobile computing in a better manner and implement good strategies for preventing
any kind of loss of confidential data. In the future, I would be employed in a MNC and hence I
would be able to use the current knowledge to prosper in my domain.
