Introduction
This report presents my learning about the topic approach, literature review, and
research methodology. This reflective report also presents the data about the findings
from data and writing up the project report. It also demonstrates the investigation
experience, insights gained, as well as, teamwork.
Week 1: The nature, process and strategy of business research
1.1: course content
From course content, I have identified the topic by giving more time to identify the
concern. Throughout this week, I have faced complexities in terms of selecting the
feasible topic.
1.2: Assignment
I have developed my knowledge regarding the definition of a problem. In this
assignment, I have learned that the problem is defined in a specific and comprehensive
manner (Bell, Bryman, and Harley, 2018).
1.3: Team discussion or team work
After defining the problem, I have increased my understanding of the research
questions. These questions are developed as per the research topics.

After developing the research question, I learned that writing of topic approval would be
submitted to the supervisor (William, James, and Arora, 2015).
Week 2: Research design and planning the research process
2.1: course content
I have also observed that different type of research method could be used in the
completion of research such as qualitative, quantitative as well as, mixed research
design. This learning was beneficial for me to complete the research in a systematic
manner (William, James, and Arora, 2015).

In assignment, I have used mixed research design as it contains the characteristics of
both qualitative and quantitative research design.

Some of team member have focused on collecting qualitative data and some of team
members have emphasized on gathering quantitative data.

I have learned about different methods of data collection methods such as primary and
secondary data collection methods. In this way, I have learned that primary data would
be gathered through survey through a questionnaire. Along with this, I have learned that
secondary data would be collected via a literature review.
Week 3: Literature Review and Writing Business Research

I gained my understanding of the search procedure that is effective in getting feasible
information about the research issue. The search procedure facilitates me to
comprehend which articles have been effective in getting information about the research
matter (Eriksson, and Kovalainen, 2015).

I gained my knowledge about the way by which an individual would be capable to
summarize the whole study in the concise form. Through this, I was also capable to

determine articles, which will be effective in the meeting aim of the study (Jackson,
2015).

At the time of writing the literature review, in my group, team members have read many
books and articles wherein I comprehended the academic words has been entailed.
This section could be viewed by different authors. This teamwork was effective for
gathering secondary data effectively (Sekaran, and Bougie, 2016).

I learned about the literature review outline that will also be effective in getting accurate
information in the context of research matter. It is also examined that the outline could
enable to make a draft for operating the business in one direction (William, James, and
Arora, 2015).
Week 4: Ethics and Legal Consideration in Business Research

I also gained my understanding of the writing of the project report in which I understood
many Ethics and Legal Consideration that have been considered from course content.

In assignment, I have focused on data manipulation, plagiarism, and proper in-text
citation to ethically complete the research.

I also faced many hurdles at the time of writing that was associated with the lack of
knowledge about the writing skills, and use of the software. These skills were improved
by communicating with my team members (Quinlan, et. al., 2019).

I comprehend that there are certain elements that might be considered by a researcher
named as data manipulation, plagiarism, and grammar. I would be capable to make
effective writing.
Week 5: The Nature of qualitative research, sampling and participant observation
5.1: course content
I have developed my understanding of the sampling. In this way, I have learned that
there are two sampling techniques that are used to choose the sample from a large
number of populations such as probability and non-probability sampling techniques.

From assignment, I have observed that the sample size would be considered to conduct
research on a specific sample that helps to gather depth and reliable information
(Jackson, 2015).

Team work was supportive to observe the participants and choose the feasible sample
by using suitable research methods.

In assignment, we did not use the qualitative data analysis as there was need to
implement the quantitative data analysis technique.

I gained my understanding of different research skills that supported to conduct this
study. I improved my knowledge about the importance of the teamwork that could be

I have developed my understanding of nature of the sampling in Quantitative Research.
In this way, I have learned that probability sampling technique could be considered to
choose the sample from large number of population.

Quantitative Research.

Week 9: Structured Interviewing and Questionnaire Design

I have increased my experience with the questionnaire. In this way, I have learned that
there are different kinds of questionnaire structure could be used such as open-ended
and close-ended questionnaire structure (Eriksson, and Kovalainen, 2015).

In assignment, I have both open-ended and close-ended questionnaire structure.

Team discussion could be effective for making my career in the upcoming period. I
understood that communication is a way by which two-person could make trust and
effectively working with each other. Effective communication could also support to meet
organizational task (Hair Jr, et. al., 2015).

Week 10: Structured Observation and Content Analysis

From course content, I learned that structure observation and content analysis is a
qualitative method. It helps to gather and analyse the qualitative information about
research topic.

In assignment, my team members did not use structured observation and content
analysis as they have used statistical data analysis method.

I understood that teamwork is the way by which many people work in the team for
meeting one goal with support and negotiation (Zikmund, 2012).

I also gained my understanding of the writing of the project report in which I understood
many steps that have been considered at the time of writing of the project. I
comprehend that there are certain elements that might be considered by a researcher

enhanced my learning that Ms-excel software is used to interpret the data in a
comprehensible manner (Sekaran, and Bougie, 2016).

I understood that teamwork is the way by which many people work in the team for

At the time of refining of the findings from the data, I gained my depth understanding
about the Ms-Excel software as well as quantitative data analysis method as it supports
to evaluate the non-numerical and numerical information. It will also support to reach at
a reliable conclusion. I gained my understanding of the different sources of the data to
make favorable data in the context of research issue (Hair Jr, et. al., 2015).
Week 12: Mixed methods research: combining quantitative and qualitative
research

I have also observed that different type of research method could be used in the
