Introduction
This reflective report demonstrates my learning regarding the approval of topic,
literature review, and research methodology. This report discusses the data regarding
the findings from data as well as, writing up project report. It also shows my experience
about research report, insight gained with the teamwork.
1. Topic Approval
Business research course has increased my learning regarding the identification of
issues. I have focused on contemporary issues in hotel and tourism industry to select
the research topic. By focusing on these issues, internal Marketing in Hotel & Tourism
Industry was selected by me. This topic is beneficial for me to become good marketing
manager in Hotel & Tourism Industry as this research develops the depth understanding
about the internal marketing. During selection of topic, I have approved the topic with
supervisor i.e. internal Marketing in Hotel & Tourism Industry (Castellanos- Verdugi and
Veerapermal, 2009).
Problem definition
Throughout business research course, I have developed my learning with respect to
problem definition. In such a part, I have developed my knowledge that the issue is
defined in detail as well as, comprehensible way.
Research question
After illustrating the issue, I have improved my learning related to research questions.
These questions are created according to research topics.
Writing of topic approval submission
I choose the topic that was current issues as it would aid me in topic approval
submission in less time (Crosby and Johnson, 2003).
2. The literature review
Search process
During the business research course, I have increased my learning about the search
process that can be beneficial to obtain the feasible data related to the research
concern. The search process enables me to understand which article is effective in the
context of obtaining the data regarding the research issues (Guest and Conway, 2001).
Summarising relevant articles
Throughout the business research course, I have increased my understanding of the
ways of summarising the relevant articles. From the assignment 3, it is found that
internet marketing is significant and it could be considered through providing training
and recruiting the workforces in the development of service. This section was beneficial
for me in the accomplishment of organizational objectives (Sekaran and Bougie, 2016).
Designing the outline of the literature review
Throughout the business research course, understanding about different ways of
outlining the literature review was gained by me. These learning were applied by me in
this research. In this way, I have outlined the literature review by using different
subtopics such as Establishment of Service culture, Development of marketing
approach to Human Resource Management, Dissemination of marketing information to
employees, and Implementation of reward and recognition system. It would be
beneficial to obtain accurate data with respect to research issues. It is also addressed
that the outline can make competent me to create the draft for business operation.

In writing the literature review, I have covered some information related to internal
Marketing in Hotel & Tourism Industry. I have used different sources in literature review
writing such as journal articles, textbooks, and academic publication. This section can
be beneficial to acquire authentic information related to the research concern (William,
James, and Arora, 2015).
3. Research methodology
Discussions about methods
I have improved my learning related to data collection methods like primary as well as
secondary data gathering techniques. In such a manner, I have increased my
knowledge that primary data could be captured via conducting a survey on employees
of the hotel. I have observed that secondary data would be obtained through a literature
review. This learning would be beneficial for completing the investigation in a
methodological way (Zikmund, 2012).
Sampling
Throughout the business research course, I have improved my learning associated with
sampling. In such a manner, I have developed my knowledge that there are two
sampling tools could be implemented to select the sample from a high amount of
populations like probability as well as, non-probability sampling tools. I have increased
my experience that the size of the sample can be considered for conducting the
investigation on a particular sample. It supports to collect the depth as well as,
consistent data (Bell, Bryman, and Harley, 2018).
Questionnaire
Business research course has increased my experience about the questionnaire. In
such a way, I have developed my understanding that several types of questionnaire
structure can be implemented like open-ended as well as, close-ended questionnaire
formation (Guest and Conway, 2001).
Data analysis and interpretation
From business research, I have developed my knowledge of data analysis and
interpretation. In such a manner, I have enhanced my understanding of the context of
PSPP software. I have learned that PSPP software is a significant analytical technique
that could be practiced for assessing the data. It is available in the form of tables,
graphs, as well as, final results can be investigated accordingly. It would also help in
further research (Quinlan, et. al., 2019).
4. Distilling the findings from the data
Business research course helps me to distilling the findings from data. In this course, I
learned that the questionnaire should be categorised into different sections to find the
reliable results. I have applied these learning into my research and categorised the data
into different parts such as demographic information, Organizational Justice, Ongoing
Monitoring of corporate culture, Internal Marketing, Internal Marketing, and Attitude
about work. In findings, gathered primary data was supported by me with the secondary
sources. Although, it was challenging for me, but I conduct this section due to team
coordination. This learning would also help me to conduct research in different areas
(William, James, and Arora, 2015).
5. Writing up the Project Report
Throughout the business research, I have also increased my knowledge about the
project writing report where, I understood each step that can be considered during

project writing. I enhanced my learning related to certain components that must be
considered through investigator such as plagiarism, data manipulation as well as,
grammar. I have applied this learning into writing my project report as it was beneficial
for me to create good writing. I have also faced some challenges during writing. It is
happened due to an inadequate understanding regarding writing competency, as well
as, application of the software. But, I handled these challenges by interacting with my
team members (Zikmund, 2012).
6. Reflecting on the research experience, insights gained, teamwork
I increased my depth of knowledge of teamwork, communication, and decision-making
skills. This could lead to me to make a career in the future. I have enhanced my learning
that brainstorming decision making is an appropriate tool that aids in making a feasible
decision related to addressing the research issues. I have also learned that teamwork
was supportive for me to arrive at the valid conclusion. Teamwork is a strategy through
which people perform in the team in terms of attaining one goal as well as, provides
support and negotiation (Sekaran, and Bougie, 2016).
Conclusion
Through the above discussion, it can be summarised that I have enhanced my
understanding of the context of approval of topic, literature review as well as a research
methodology. This research also supported to develop an understanding regarding
distilling findings from the data, writing up project report and demonstration on research
experience, insight gained with teamwork.
