My opinion as a student, learning has enabled me to have a different view on business
research. Before an individual can begin to conduct a business research, he or she should take
into consideration the need for that particular business research (Booth, Sutton and Papaioannou
2016). An individual should thereafter identify the means that he or she will use to perform his or
her business research for purposes of coming up with the answers resulting from his or her
business research. As a result of being a well-prepared business researcher, one is likely to
undertake his or her business research within the specified period of time and also accurately.
The value of the learning experience is that it allows an individual to have knowledge
pertaining a lot of things. An individual may fail to know some things which are important
aspects of one’s life unless he or she learns about them. Through business research, an individual
is able to gain know-how on the research techniques, types of research that involve qualitative,
quantitative and mixed methods which an individual can use depending on one’s needs. For
example, an individual may use the quantitative research if the purpose of the business research
is to obtain information pertaining the net worth of a particular business. A business researcher,
on the other hand, may use the qualitative research method if he or she is only interested in
obtaining non-financial data. Finally, a business researcher can use the mixed methods research
in the case where he or she is interested in both qualitative and quantitative data.
Learning experience pertaining business research has enabled me to understand better the
purpose of undertaking any kind of research which. Basically, individuals over the years have
been performing a business research traditionally, that is, analyzing the type of business one

would want without putting into consideration how many people have a similar kind of business.
In return, individuals may end up failing in their business due to the high competition which
exists within the market (Bryman and Bell 2015). Therefore, learning experience helps an
individual in coming up with a new business idea that fills a particular gap existing in the market.
In return, an individual is likely to survive in the market in the long term as the kind of business
he or she has less competition in the market hence making it more demandable.

Usually, research is termed by many students to be a difficult task and thus, students are
given a chance, they would avoid it. Therefore, research being a part of the school, higher
learning institutions, it makes individuals remain active. Research acts as an instrument to build
knowledge and efficient learning (Machi and McEvoy 2016). Research also enables a student to
understand better various issues unlike through theoretically. Business research is an assisting
tool for success in the business environment as it helps an individual understand the various
techniques for a successful business venture.
Research is a way through which an individual may discover, weigh and seize
opportunities. Research enables individuals to nurture their potential and meet their objectives
through various opportunities (Meyer and Peng 2016 p. 20). Opportunities for a student in the
future career may involve; securing employment, training grants, scholarships, budget traveling
and business collaboration. Through research undertaking, an individual is able to understand
more on the business operations and also their payments which is usually the major concern for
individuals seeking for employment. Research may also assist those individuals who seek to be
self-employed with legitimate work opportunities hence becoming their own bosses.

Today, with the world changing at a higher rate into a vibrant community, individuals
should have their own businesses which can help them cater to their increasing needs. Therefore,
business research is not only for academics and students but for all the individuals globally.
As research has deadlines, this aspect will assist me greatly in future while being my own
boss through proper time management. Time management is an important element to the success
of any business (Hair, Wolfinbarger, Money, Samouel and Page 2015). Businesses who have a
good management tend to perform better than those ones whose management is poor. Better
performance will lead to long-term survival of the business in the market and also generate better
revenues which are the main objective of all the business people. Also, with knowledge of
research, as a business person, I will be able to create new connections with business people
whom I feel they would have an impact on my business such as successful businesspersons.

In the learning process, I learned how to write a good business research report. One of the
main things which are included in a research report is the literature review and its importance.
Literature review explores books, scholarly articles and other necessary sources which relates to
the issue of concern (Massa, Tucci and Afuah 2017 p. 100). For a well-structured literature
review, the researcher must first formulate the problem, then search the literature, evaluate data
and finally analyze and interpret the data. Literature review in a research proposal persuades the
reader whereby, it gives the reader who in this case is the assessor a reason to continue reading
one’s report. With that, a researcher is likely to be awarded great marks.

Business research in my research learning process enabled me to understand better
theoretical learning. By undertaking research learning practically, whereby, I was able to explore
a number of businesses physically and also through research and development, my performance
improved due to my improved creativity. With improved performance, my learning morale
increased and I was able to view learning for the first time as an interesting activity. In my
business research, I chose the systematic review of the narrative review (Eriksson and
Kovalainen 2015). This is because I needed to conduct a very extensive research pertaining
businesses as my dream is to become a successful businessperson. Therefore, this was my
opportunity to explore the world of business to understand the techniques behind successful
businesses as I could even visit particular businesses and boldly ask questions.

The reason why I undertook both assignment 1 and 2 was to enable me to undertake the
task of business research effectively.

I look forward to establishing a successful business in future with the aid of the
knowledge which I will obtain from my learning. I will apply my learning experience knowledge
to choose a business whose gap is present and high on demand in the market (Reynolds 2017).
Time management is another aspect which I will highly consider in my business necessary to
ensure my long-term survival in the market and also better income.
