Reflective writing conveys the writers’ perspective of any particular theme being
discussed. This helps the readers understand the perspective from which the theme is written.
The reflective of a research project often equips the readers with the necessary background
information for understanding the report. It further guides the readers through the report for
understanding and correlating the benefits of the research as perceived by the researcher. I am
writing this reflective essay with similar purposes. This essay will convey the need for
conducting the research and also the background for selecting the particular topic. This will
further communicate the effectiveness of the learning experience that I will gain through the
research on the particular topic and the process of research as well. I will later communicate
the research process itself for the readers to understand how the research was conducted.
Lastly, the essay will finally convey the utility of the research in my future life.
I can divide the learning experience into two major divisions that are research work
and the topic selected. Both of the components according to my understanding is valuable in
the course, which can be utilised in the future carrier. The research work helps understanding
the process of carrying out a business research and communicates the boundaries and
limitations of any research that a researcher needs to follow. This will definitely help me in
conducting similar research as I now hold knowledge. Topic on the other hand is valuable as
this is the current trend in businesses over industries and every business is outsourcing their
data storage to the third party cloud. Knowledge gained from the activity will help in
understanding the process involve and work accordingly in organisational settings.
The knowledge gained from the activities are applicable both in the later phase of the
coursework and the future life. The research methodology I learned form the activities will
help me completing future assignments in the course work. This further carries its utility in
the professional life in future, as it will help me understand business scenarios and activities
where I will be hired in. However, the utility of the learning in general life is limited. The

only thing that I can utilise in my personal life is the code of ethics I learned from the
activities and lead an ethical life respecting values and interest of the individuals. However,
slight modification is always required according to the situation and interest of the individual
involved.
The learning process on the other hand was both interesting and challenging for me.
The first task was the selection of the topic, which was itself a difficult task where I consulted
with my lecturer for understanding the scopes of the research. The next step was to develop
understanding of the topic selected for which I conducted literature review. This was the
study of existing literature on the selected topic, which help in enriching my knowledge over
the subject. It also helped me finding the gap within the existing literature. Many literatures
existing narrating the process of implementing cloud computing in a business organisation or
the pros and cons of using the same. However, there exist only a few that provides greater
idea on the relation that is established between cloud computing and business process when
integrated in a business. After identifying the research question, the next challenge I faced
was the selection of research methodology that involves the data collection, analysis and
sampling method, while restricting the activities within the ethical parameters. Moreover, it
was also essential for me to uphold the reliability and validity of the research. My lecturer
helped me with the selection. The research is based on the primary data collected form the
organisations through both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods that involves
interview, questionnaire and survey. Furthermore, the probability sampling technique was
incorporated for maintaining the reliability of the research. The final task was to prepare the
time schedule and the above selected research work was put in it for providing it an
uninterrupted flow.
The business research in the coursework provided me the opportunity to investigate
on the selected topic and understand the process involved. I receive practical exposure from

the business research as I came in contact to the real world business organisations and
communicated with the managers of the business organisations for understanding the
practices. They also shared the advantages and drawbacks of the activities that enriched my
knowledge of the process involved. This exposure will be helpful in understanding and
identifying the issues involved and will make my effort easier formulating solution of the
issues. Moreover, this also provides knowledge required for conducting a business research
and the limitations that is required for following the ethical boundaries of a business research.
On to it, I learned the necessity of the validity and reliability of a business research; and why
it is important to provide opportunity for verification of the data communicated in the report.
These are the necessary knowledge one requires while conducting a business research, which
has been properly communicated in the course.
I can attribute the recent development of cloud computing and its inclusion in every
industry for selecting the particular topic for my research project. It provided me a great deal
of information that I can utilize in my future life. This report provides in depth knowledge on
cloud computing and the benefits and disadvantages of using it in organisations for storing
their business related information. Moreover, I can think of one more benefit that I could
sight for selecting the particular activities, which was to enrich my knowledge on the research
methodology. These activities helped me enriching my knowledge of business research.
I can divide the learning from the course activities into two particular sections that are
research process and the topic I selected for the research. The learning I received from the
research process will be beneficial for me in conducting business research in my future life,
when I get myself involved with similar business organisations. I now understand the
methodology needed to be followed for conducting a business research that will help me in
the practical field in future life. Moreover, the topic itself will contribute in my carrier as
every business organisation uses cloud computing for storing and processing their data. The
