Introduction
This reflective report discusses some activities that were faced by me at the time of conducting
the research acts. There are initial stages that are considered by an individual named as
approval for topic, review of literatures, research methodology, Analysis of data, as well as,
conclusion section. Further, it also shows the positive as well as negative aspects of mine.
1. Topic Approval
Topic Identification
The topic determination is an initial step of mine. I determine the research topic for giving the
one way to meet aim as well as, objectives of study.
Problem definition
This study has deeply evaluated the issues of study to react at a reliable conclusion. I observed
that an individual should be worked on one topic due to maintaining the accuracy of the study
result (Neelankavil, 2015).
Research question
I observed that the research questions should be based on the concern that will be effective to
identify a way by which the researcher will solve the research concern.
Writing of topic approval submission
I took prior permission of my mentor before writing the topic approval for submission. I directly
meat to my mentor and take their approval regarding the topic due to maintaining the accuracy
of the research topic.
2. The literature review
Search process
In this section, I addressed that data that will be entailed for solving the research matter. I
considered different sources named Google scholars, online sites, books, articles, and lectures
notes. It can be significant to get the information towards research.
Summarising relevant articles
For summarizing the relevant articles, I read many articles by considering online and offline
sources. This is effective to comprehend the whole research in summarized form. This will direct
for obtaining positive outcome with respect to current issue.
Designing the outline of the literature review
The design of literature review is effective to comprehend information that has been covered in
the literature review. It will also support saving the time of the study. The outline could also offer
a suitable path to the investigator to perform the study (Easterby-Smith, et al., 2015).
Writing up the literature review
During writing the literature review, I decided many things for making a reliable conclusion. I
considered reliable articles for my study. I entailed different sources of literature review to meet
the research issue.
3. Research methodology
Discussions about methods
I increased my depth information regarding certain sources named as qualitative and, a
quantitative technique. It will also be beneficial to acquire valid information in favour of research
matter. I gained my knowledge towards certain approaches that is imperative in obtaining the
information of the research concern (Quinlan, et al., 2019).
Sampling
The sampling is imperative in choosing a feasible sample size to conduct investigation in an
effective manner. I gained my depth information towards the sampling tool for operating the
research in one direction. There are some tools that could be involved in sampling named as
probability as well as, non-probability sampling tool. I understood that the selection of a suitable
sample size could be affected by the overall quality of the research outcome. It will also
positively affect the outcome of research (Eriksson and Kovalainen, 2015).
Questionnaire

The questionnaire is beneficial in terms of getting responses of research candidates towards
investigation matter. I increased my knowledge about steps, which have been considered in the
questionnaire for making the quality result.
Data analysis and interpretation
The data analysis section is imperative in terms of deeply assess statistical as well as, non-
statistical tool to implement it in research. I increased my knowledge about the methods, which
have been considered in the study. This section is imperative as compared to other section for
the attainment of the research task (Zikmund, 2012).
Distilling the findings from the data
Findings could also be an imperative section in evaluating the data to meet research matter. I
gained my data with respect to research issue. I observed that statistical information has been
supported by the literature review method. It would be significant to acquire reliable data about
investigation issue.
Reflection from research experience, insights gained and teamwork
I have improved my research skills throughout the business research course. This course helps
me to understand each aspect of research in depth manners. By attending 12 weeks classes, I
was able to contribute to each research activity. I have also gained my insights regarding the
literature review as it helps in the search process, and writing the literature review. In addition to
this, I have gained my understanding of the research methodology to systematically complete
the research. I have also gained my insights to effectively write the project report. Each team
member has contributed to a team that supports to arrive at a reliable decision. Teamwork
supports me to increase the depth understanding regarding the research concerns. It also aids
in enhancing the research experience. Now, I am also competent to make further research in
different fields (William, et al., 2015).
Writing-up the project report
Business research course helps to comprehend the approaches of writing-up the project report.
I have applied this learning to writing-up my project report. I have focused on proper in-text
citation and references, as well as, grammatical and sentence structuring issues. This was
supportive for me to effectively writing the papers. I have learned that reliable sources are used
in writing up the report. I have also enhanced my learning regarding plagiarism issues to
ethically conduct the investigation. This learning would be applied by me in further writing-up the
project report (Bell, et al., 2018).
Conclusion
From the above interpretation, it can be concluded that I have gained by learning about the topic
approval, and searching process in the literature review. I have also increased my knowledge
regarding the research methodology as well as, findings from gathered data. I have also
enhanced my learning about the writing-up of the project report.
