BUSINESS RESEARCH METHODOLOGY 2
Evaluate the effectiveness and your usefulness of the learning experience
This research is effective to understand the advantages and disadvantages of using the social
network in the tourism business in India. It is analyzed that internet and rapid advance
technology have changed all the companies at the international level especially tourism (Bryman,
and Bell, 2015). I have also observed that tourism initiatives have to need to obtain their
objectives through the internet nowadays. Since, tourism is depending on high information as
well as demanding market hence there is need of using the internet. This learning experience is
useful for me to make further research in marketing fields. This research is effective to develop
knowledge regarding the social networking. In this way, it can be evaluated that social
networking is a kind of social media which facilitates the users to link with others and create the
information (Sekaran, and Bougie, 2016). This learning experience was useful for me to
implement social networking within an organization.
Explain how this learning process will be useful to you
This learning process is useful for me to understand the advantages of using the social network in
the tourism business. In this way, I have pointed that tourism company in India can grab the
opportunities through the social network to appeal the client for sharing the photos and videos
about beautiful sceneries in the nation. As a result, I am able to influence the more consumer
behavior towards the tourism company.
This research is also beneficial to gain my understanding about developing brand awareness and
building image of the company. In this way, it is observed that the social networking sites have
been used to build a favorable and adverse image about the brand. For example, Kashmir has
been promoted insistently through twitter which enables the market to improve their brand image
and awareness (Leonardi, et. al., 2013). I have also developed my knowledge about the

effectiveness of cost and time. In this way, it can be evaluated that Tourism Company needs low
cost and time to promote their brand through the social network. Thus, I have pointed that it is
affordable and effective due to utilizing different tools of marketing. The social network is well-
located because they allow tourism companies to ease uses of the client’s reply (Schaltegger, and
Wagner, 2017). This learning process is beneficial for me to encourage the tourism companies
for using social networking.
Describe objectively what happened in the learning process
I did assessment regarding disadvantages of using the social network in the tourism business. In
this way, I have analyzed that possible violation of the privacy is a key issue that could impact
on the approach of the organization through social media. Along with this, I have learned another
issue of using the social network in which I have identified that business needs to develop
effective content, and needs to create self-promotion. Moreover, this creates incremental cost and
know-how spammer for companies (Leonardi, et. al., 2013). This learning process has not only
created my depth understanding about the social networking but also develops my marketing
skill.
Evaluate what you learn
The business research was helpful to learn within research. Through this, I have learned that
online cheater is capable to facilitate the wrong message to consumers regarding tourism
companies and can also damage the brand image which is binding. It can be also evaluated that
another issue of social networking is to deliver the content. I have learned that social network has
demanded to update the content because it could be beneficial to encourage the customers and
also effective to engage them. I have also observed that social network can create the problem
for tourism companies because there are chances of getting an unfavorable comment from

customers. This learning was beneficial for me to grow my professional career in the field of
marketing.
Explain your learning process
There are different causes of doing activities in assignment 1 and 2. I have made research
question and hypothesis to focus on the specific concept of social network. It was also effective
to assess the relationship between two factors such as social networking and business
performance. Moreover, I have used research design and methodology to do research in a
systematic manner. In this way, it is analyzed that both qualitative and quantitative research is
used for this research (Leonardi, et. al., 2013). Further, I have found that positivism research
philosophy is used to generate the hypothesis together with the deductive approach is used due to
objective nature of research topic and its relevancy with the positivist philosophy. This learning
process is beneficial to conduct the research in a methodological way. I have also pointed that
qualitative research is used to gather the non-numerical data regarding the research issue. In this
way, I have analyzed that interview process is used to pool the view and opinion of managers
regarding research topic. Along with this, I have gained my experience about sampling process.
In this way, I have selected non-probability sampling to select the participant on the basis of my
convenience. For obtaining the numerical data, I have used survey through questionnaire
research design. Further, probability sampling method is exercised by me to avoid the biases
from the survey.
Explain Plan how this learning you will apply
This learning may be applied in different fields. Through this research, I have learned that both
primary and secondary data collection method is used to gather the reliable and valid information
from participants. I have also learned that collected data is analyzed through statistical method.
