Introduction
I have learnt in this research that it is not right to rely on imagination and one must carry out
research so that there are no misleading facts (Quinlan, 2015). Research is useful for nurturing
own potential and achieving goals via different opportunities. This would be utilized for me in
future for securing employment, business for librations, scholarship, and understanding of
different topic, management and different fields where in research can be applied.
1. Evaluate the effectiveness and your usefulness of the learning experience
Learning experience
Looking at the different examples of different companies which have outsourced their activities,
I have learned that there are various advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing within a
business. For carrying out this research the qualitative and quantitative methods were applied and
the data was collected, and interviews were undertaken. In the process of gathering this data I
learnt that it is important to make correct choice of the methods of research. It also helps in
learning effective utilisation of time along with the knowledge of outsourcing process (Martin
and Woodside, 2017).
Value of this experience
There are different challenges and benefits linked with outsourcing of business activities,
knowing which the teams can constantly push for betterment and develop their own standards
(Hirschheim, Heinzl and Dibbern, 2014). The value of this experience is highly appreciated
because it has led to cultivating a shared language among teams which usually have a
different perspective. Therefore there has to be a consensus on whatever a team does, which

makes a great learning experience. A good learning experience helps the team to understand
something which was not known before and now it can be easily used and crafted (Goldsmith,
2003). This experience made me interactive, enjoyable and I would visualize the importance of
outsourcing for any business. This also encourages me for further learning.
Research is usually not needed only for students but it would also be useful for me when I
become a professional. Likewise, it would be important for any writer, either online or off-line.
Anybody who wants to find interesting topic to discuss or wants to write something, he has to go
ahead of the personal experiences (Sako and Tierney, 2005). Therefore it is important that
learning’s from this research are carried a long way. While carrying out this research I had to
read many journals, internet material and other researches which expanded my horizon of
thinking and allowed me to understand why different businesses, industries and market invest in
research and development before carrying out any task (Rivard and Aubert, 2011). Through this
study I learnt how a research can be implemented for outsourcing and how the business can
secure a vantage point over its competitors. Definitely, having relevant knowledge about the
topic allowed me to think in an effective way so that the profitability of the business could be
boosted (Abbott, Zheng and Du, 2014).
2. Explain how this learning process will be useful to you
This research-based learning would be useful in my course because this makes me actively
involved in developing my knowledge and has helped me in developing the intellectual skills for
critically analyzing the situation. It has also helped me to develop valuable transferable skills like
time management, group working, data handling and resources management. By the involvement
in this research, and using case studies I was able to link the same to my future career. This

learning course will help me in transferring learning from one problem to another within the
course, from one year in school or to any other and from the school to place of work. The
knowledge transfer would be better when it is widely used as an education rather than training to
carry out particular task. By this research I was able to learn how businesses can operate for 24
hours and maximise their returns for carrying out this research work, real life examples have
been highlighted so that the negative and positive aspects can be utilised. These experiences can
be used in the life so that I can learn from past mistakes or negative aspects and strengthen the
positive ones. By this research I also learnt that there can be challenges with respect to shortage
of resources and skilled labour therefore planning is an important part of any business activity on
day-to-day activity.
3. Describe objectively what happened in the learning process
In the learning process I was actively engaged because I carried out the research and I took
examples of different companies. For this I required a proper knowledge of current market trends
and thus extensive research had to be carried out. By setting out the research I evaluated the
benefits and drawbacks of outsourcing the business activities. I read more about globalization
and how the jobs, living, economies have been impacted with outsourcing in place

Business research is the procedure of accumulating that needed data for any industry to be
successful. It is similar to the marketing research however it has been used to completely assess
the business situation. It has helped me in making key decisions for the future research to be
carried out. Knowledge has a significant role in efficiency and prosperity businesses, people and
economies. This research has basically focused on the outsourcing of tasks to different people or

its effectiveness for businesses. By utilization of different resources of research, there was
learning from direct experiences of different businesses and it was linked with the reflection that
is the intentional trial to abstract, articulate and synthesize the major lessons sought by
experiences. There was a mixed approach utilized i.e. different journals were also reviewed
which turned out to be powerful mechanism for learning. It is claimed by an American
Philosopher that “we don’t learn from experiences… we learn from reflections of experiences”
(Colvin, 2015).
5. Explain your learning process
For learning, I had to carry out the research, wherein I reviewed various literatures and journals
for examining the advantages and disadvantages of the topic that is outsourcing. The methods
which are utilised for collecting these details are qualitative and quantitative in nature (Geuens,
2011). There were randomly selected participants and interviews were also performed. These
details were then depicted in the form of graphs so that meaningful representation would be
there. There was high use of Internet made so that the information collected and effective. Even
though the procedure of getting the data was not smooth, but it also acted as in learning for me. I
have learnt that for collection of data, it is important to plan carefully and all the risks should be
covered with an alternate plan in place.
I have also learnt the art of interviewing, collection of data, analysing the same, filtering of
necessary and unnecessary data and presenting the same in the simple way that is
by graphical presentation. It was important research for me because it helped me in producing
knowledge and for future implementation.

Conclusion
Finally the key to successful research project is in its iteration that is the procedure of coming
back to the research questions again and again, reviewing its methodology, data. All this can
bring in latest, innovative ideas, betterments, and divisions. It is simple to think of any research
as a step-by-step procedure however it is significant that flexibility has to be there and there
should be openness to change (Eriksson and Kovalainen, 2010). Usually by the research, one can
learn about new research Questions that need to be added. There are certain things which need to
be removed and amendments which have to be made and this kind of learning happens only
when actual research is performed. Therefore there is no single formula for developing a
successful research study however one can learn actually, keeping in mind that research
procedure is iterative and cyclical in nature.
