INTRODUCTION
Teaching and learning has been determined as the most important concept in education.
Utilising resources in appropriate manner in teaching has been proven highly beneficial for
learners (Huda and et.al., 2018). The current study revolves around developing, using and
organizing the resources in teaching so it can assure effectiveness in learning of the learners. The
report will highlight the purpose of resources in learning and teaching. Also, ways in which
theories, principles and models of the inclusive curriculum design can be used for informing
resource development will be explained. The storing and classification of resources will be
described.
Furthermore, effectiveness of resources in meeting individual learner needs will be
described. Principle of resource design, evaluation of sources that helps in adopting resource will
be reviewed. Along with this, ways in which resources can be shared with other learning
professionals will be highlighted. Moreover, designing of resources including technology will be
done. Evaluation of effectiveness in relation of own design and using of resources will be done.
Also, self-strengths and weaknesses will be identified in context of developing and using of
resources. Lastly, opportunities will be planned in terms of improving own skills in relation of
developing and using resources.

TASK 1
1.1 Purpose of resources in learning and teaching
Resources have a significant purpose in learning and teaching. In learning and teaching,
resources are materials in the form of written source, e- learning, events, audio- visual aids etc.
learning resources can be workbooks, textbooks, charts, posters etc. These perform the role of
proving a source of learning experience to the learners (Matthews and Wrigley, 2017). They
increase the achievement of learners by providing support their learning. For example, with the
help of an educational video, a learner may obtain new insights about the topic. Similarly, with
the help of a worksheet, the student may get an opportunity to practice novel skills that have
been learnt in the class.
Resources assist the process of interaction between teachers and students. The learning
obtained by a student depends on the level of interaction between the teachers and students.
Higher and more engaging the interaction, more is the learning. Learning and teaching resources

aid in developing a strong interaction between the students and the teachers. They act as a
medium through which students are able to exchange their views (Wrigley and Straker, 2017). In
addition to it, the purpose of resources is to provide a platform to the learners to develop their
knowledge about the subject.
In addition to this, resources fulfill the purpose of assisting students to develop learning
and enhance their experience. With the help of them, the learners are able to understand the topic
in a better manner. They are able to gauge their level of understanding regarding the topic which
assists them in identifying how much more they need to learn about the subject.
2.3 Analysis of theories, principles and models of inclusive curriculum design
There are various theories, principles and models of inclusive curriculum design which inform
resource development in the area of Business Management.
Theories of curriculum design
There are various theories of curriculum design such as knowledge, social, political and
learning theory. These theories inform resource development in the area of business management
by providing guideline about the aspects to be considered while designing a curriculum (Listiani,
2021). In addition to it, these theories also inform enactment of curriculum. For example, John
Dewy’s curriculum theory focuses on making the students capable of dealing with the modern
world.
Principles of curriculum
There are seven principles of curriculum design, namely:
 Challenge and enjoyment
 Depth
 Coherence
 Relevance
 Progression
 Personalization and choice
 Breadth
These principles find their application at all the stages of learning. In the area of business
management, these inform the development of curriculum at the levels of organization as well as
classroom.
Models of curriculum design

Subject centered curriculum design is a model which comprises of division curriculum
into subject areas. It is a design that has a tendency to focus on the subject rather than the
individual. This curriculum design describes the content to be studied and method adopted for
studying it. this informs resource development by setting a standardized curriculum which
contains predetermined list of things (Camilleri and Camilleri, 2017). Based on this, suitable
resources can be developed in appropriate format. In addition to this, subject centred curriculum
designs provide information on all the subjects for which resources are to be developed.
3.1 Explaining the ways in which resources can be stored and classified
Classification refers to classifying the elements on the basis of their features.
Classification of resources is highly mandatory as it helps in differentiating the resources and it
becomes easy for teacher to identify which resource is most appropriate at a certain point of
time. The classification can be done on the basis of alphabetical terms, groups and colour. For
example: clear and logical classification system has been retrieval, systematically filling along
with managing resources, managing the current and the archive documents and producing the
appropriate catalogues along with maintaining it (Hicham and et.al., 2020). The major purpose of
classifying before storing is to marking the information so it can easily be retrieved.
Thus, resources can be classified on the basis of relevancy, ability in terms of aid
developing for specific learners. Other classification of the resource includes:
1. Projected and non-projected- Projected classification is for those resources that requires
projected over the screen and non-projected for those resources that does not require
projected over screen.
2. Classification on the basis of Audio and visual
3. Classification on the basis of Kinesthetic.
Storing of resource helps in keeping resources for long period of time. It has been proven
beneficial for learner as resources has been maintained that can be used by them in terms of
increasing the efficiency of learning. The resource can be stored in below explained manner
1. Physical resources- Large amount of physical space is required in terms of storing
resources. Resources can be stored in the centralized place so it can be easily accessible
or it may often store in the areas which can be frequently used. Accessing of resources
has been restricted as per the requirement of resources.

2. Information technology resources- Resource that required less space and access can be
anywhere can be stored in cloud based or internet based storage system. Accessing of the
resource can be controlled with the help of password protected system. This method helps
in selection of the resource and helps in keeping them safe and secure. It is highly
important to analysing the effectiveness, reliability and validity of the sources before
using it (Taylor and et.al., 2020). Therefore, Wikipedia has been restricted as the
information contain in it cannot be verified. Also, copyright laws should also adhered to.

1.2 Evaluating the effectiveness of two resources from own specialist are in order to meeting
individual learning need
Digital technology has been used in all areas mostly. Especially, in education sector the
use of technology has been highly increased from past years. As it helps in facilitating the
information and communication technologies. Thus, students and teachers are getting numerous
benefits from it. Within using technology in proper manner the effectiveness of the knowledge
has been increased. Classroom that are associated with the technologies are assuring effective
support to the learners in meeting their needs (Iqbal and et.al., 2020). Teachers focuses and take
care of numerous students in class at a same time. However, in the classroom there are students
possessed with different calibres. For example: some students must be handled individually
while some do not. Thus, ability in teacher helps in identifying the needs of students and the
resource has been used on the basis of identification. Any individual that needs special attention
in that case teacher changes the approach so the needs of learner can be meet.
Using of e-book readers and personal computer (examples of technology) has been
increased on a high level. This helps student as well as teacher in order to understand the topic in
effective manner. Using technology has changes the method of teaching and added effectiveness
in learning process. The visual aid in relation of the topic has been easily accessible within using
modern technologies. Using Internet has become one of the most important aspect in teaching. It
has been often considered as largest source of knowledge (Sarker and et.al., 2019). Often,
teachers take guidance from internet and provide effective information to students. Along with
these students takes information from Internet in terms of understanding the topic and gets clear
information.

2.1 Analysing the principle of resource design
Resource design has been done in order to achieve the main motive. The tools have been
used in context of elaborating the process of education in class. The resources need to be
designed in proper manner within considering the important factors. The factors that needs to be
evaluate are concerned with:
Using the user-friendly resource- The resources has been used in order to teach and guide
learners therefore, resources must be easy and simple so it can be easily accessible for learners
and teachers. The tools must be easy in terms of using so the method of using the tools can be
easily understood and the topic can be easily described to the students (Isgren and et.al., 2022).
The teacher must use design resource in such manner that can be easily accessible by them and
effective guidance to the students can be given.
Meeting learning needs on time- The resources must be design in such manner that helps in
meeting the needs of learner on time as there are large number of subjects that needs to be learn
by the learners. Therefore, all subjects need specific time. Many time the resources have been
introduced to student at that time when it becomes highly important to introduce. However, it
should be introduced from the starting so learners can easily gain benefit from it. Also, special
focus has to be made over selecting resources that helps in meeting the learners needs the
resources must be design in such manner that helps in meeting the needs of learners as it is the
main motive of using resources.
Resources must be fit for the purpose of subject- Resources that has been designed for the
students must be known by teacher in effective manner. In case, the resources that has been
design are not known by teacher then it would be difficult to using resources in context of
teaching to the students. Latest technologies have been used in context of designing resources
therefore, it is important to have the effective knowledge of technology by the teachers. As a
result, effective knowledge of resource by teacher helps in using sources in effective manner.
Properly use of learning domain- While designing resources major focus over the learning
domain has to be done as it helps in creating the effective opportunities for learners in terms of
increasing their learning efficiency. The major learning domain are, Cognitive, affective and
Psychomotor. Cognitive domain includes the intellectual skills. Thus, resource must be designed
in such manner that contributes in increasing intellectual skill of learners (Garzon Artacho and
et.al., 2020). Development of affective domain enable learner to express their emotions in

effective manner. Lastly. Psychomotor domain helps in developing students in their field. Thus,
these domain helps in developing learners from all aspects within using resources.
2.2 Evaluate the sources that informs resource development in own specialist area (business
management).
The development of the resources has been derived from the use of different sources. It
can be further from the guidance taken from another organization or reviewing the articles
written by the specialist or derived from the professional bodies. Source plays vital role as it
helps in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of resource development in teaching. The
learning procedure of student can be improved within using appropriate sources for resource
development. Two specific sources that helps in resource development are formal and informal
sources. The informal source mainly includes the peer group, exploration of study centres and
utilising internet in order to finding answers of the topic. Teacher assure effective support to
students in context of solving the doubts (Holmes and Prieto-Rodriguez, 2018). Also, teachers
motivate students to visit libraries and increasing the extent of reading that helps in encouraging
problem solving abilities in learners. The formal sources include classroom instruction, seminars,
webinars and web-based learning. These sources have been used in order to developing the
resources. Formal and informal both the source has been used so the needs of the learners can be
met. Therefore, the resource development has been done within assuring keen focus over the
attributes of formal and informal sources that helps in developing the students from all aspects
whether it is practical or theoretical.
2.4 Analysing ways in which resources can be adopted in regards to enabling inclusive approach
in own specialist (business management) area
Adaption of resources can be mainly done in two ways and that can be done in the form of
the paper documents and in digital form. Teacher have to assure keen focus over establishing
effective communication with the students. In order to create effective understanding of the topic
the effective communication needs to be done so doubts of the students can be solved. Tools
such as, Power point, excel and the word makes teaching process more effective as it helps in
providing effective information to the students (Lawrence and Tar, 2018). Within creating the
visual learning environment that assures the inclusion of all students learning procedure can be
make highly effective. The visual learning environment helps in creating the effective learning
environment in classroom. Adopting resources for example: paper based such as, changing the

paper colour, altering the font size and type, using of images and providing the alternatives at the
different level. Other example includes the providing opportunity to learner in terms of adapting
own resources, correct use of power point, modifying the tools and equipment. Also, adopting
the software and web-based learning.
Thus, the teacher must adopt the resources that are available to them in order to create
effective learning environment in classroom. When all of these resources has been used by the
skilled teacher then it enables learner to get the maximum benefits. Thus, it helps in gaining
effective information in relation of the topic to the students and it further helps in increasing their
learning efficiency. Also, the major focus has to be made over inclusive approach. It refers to
that approach that includes all students as there are large number of students in the classroom.
Some are highly active while some do not. Often many students are concerned with disabilities.
Thus, the resource must be adopted in such manner that attracts the attention of all individuals
and enables them to increase their learning efficiency.
3.2 Reviewing the ways in terms of sharing the resources with other learning professionals
Sharing of resources with other learning professionals helps in increasing the efficiency of
learning environment. Therefore, it is highly important to share the learning resource with the
learning professionals. In order to share the resource first thing that needs to be done is
identifying the common resources and then development of the central resource bank such as
portal has to be done. Also, catalogues of the resources need to be made. Furthermore, resource
can be shared with the help of emails that includes, power point slide. Google cloud, drop box,
iCloud can be accessed.
Common information that has been shared among the organizations has been proven highly
useful for the learners and teachers as well. Identification of information and then categorizing it
helps in effective sharing of information (Boss and Larmer, 2018). The file system helps in
holding mandatory documents that can be used in order to share the information among the
interested parties. In teaching profession, the teachers share the academic papers along with the
available study materials. Sharing of the resources with the other professionals helps in enriching
the credibility of the papers.

2.5 Designing resources within including emerging technologies in context of engaging and
meeting the individual needs of learners in business management.
Technologies has become more advanced that assuring effective contribution in meeting
the needs of learners. The learning process is just not limited to the textbook only. The case
studies and models has been provided to students that help them to increase their learning
efficiency. It helps students to have the practical knowledge about the market and enable them to
have effective information in relation of their topics (Lantz-Andersson, Lundin and Selwyn,
2018). Using of technological tools has made everything possible for students in context of their
learning. The internet has been used in order to analyse the appropriate information related to
business to the learners. Specific learning resources such as, case studies, artefacts and models
helps in meeting the individual needs of learners. In case, the one student prefers case studies and
another prefer artefacts thus, adopting and designing resources helps in engaging and meeting
individual needs of learners.
Preparing videos and power point presentation in relation of the major topics of business
management leads to provide clear vision in context of the types of business organization. In
video the description related to the types of business organization is being done along with
adding pictures. Thus, it helps in enhancing and increasing the engagement of the students in
learning process (Trust, 2018). Often those learners who do not likes to learn from textbook gets
the opportunity in context of developing their interest. Designing of virtual learning environment
within using cloud based solution enables students to have an effective understanding in relation
of the business organizations
2.6 Employ resources in terms of engaging and meeting the individual needs of learners
The teaching profession has been considered as the collection of various task and all those tasks
are aligned with engaging and meeting the needs of individual needs of learners. The diverse
nature of resources needs to be equipped that helps in inclusion of all students. While equipping
the resources more flexibility needs to be assure so this can help in inclusion of all students in the
learning process (Dogan, Dogan and Celik, 2021). Resources must be employee in such manner
that helps in meeting the needs of learner that includes allowing greater diversification in the
classroom, making learning more interesting, effectively using the time, supporting along with
extending the learning of students, ensuring opportunities to students for the functional skills and

opportunities has been given in context of individualised and flexible learning. For example:
Power point presentation that has been taken as resource in the upper section must be employee
within preparing speaker notes in which the detailing about the topic that has been mentioned. In
this manner, it become easy for learners to understand the topic in effective manner.
5.1 Evaluating the effectiveness of own design and use of resource to engaging and meeting the
individual needs of learners
Resource helps in creating the effective support to teacher in context of achieving the
major goal of the learners. The resource has been proven highly beneficial in context of
developing effective understanding in relation of the topic in the students. Thus, it provides the
assurance of meeting the individual needs of learners. Using internet allows teacher and students
in terms of accessing higher knowledge. The effectiveness of the own design and use of
resources has been explained below:
Visual aspect- The lessons that has been explained to the students within using visuals has been
effectively understand by the learners (Ratheeswari, 2018).Thus, the own design resource (PPT)
helps in providing the effective information to the students in relation of the business
management topics. Within using visual media the lesson become more captivating for the
students. As a result, learners becomes more active.
Flexibility- Using of ICT create the flexibility and this helps students in taking more than one
subject and it becomes easily accessible.
Cost benefit- Using of the study resources helps in minimizing the cost for students. The teachers
use the study material and guides student in context of using most appropriate study material that
helps in creating less cost for students.
Self-discipline- It creates the self-discipline for students as the resources has been used by
teachers in order to make lessons more interesting (Tugun and et.al., 2020). However, students
must follow instructions that has been made by teacher. Following all instruction helps in
meeting the major learning needs.
5.2- Determining own strengths and areas for improvement in relation to development and utilize
of resources in specialist area.
I able to develop and effectively use key resource, such as presentation that related to my
chosen specialist area such as business management. I am posing good knowledge about using
range of resources, that play important role in the context of increasing my performance that aid

to accomplish my task and work on time and in systematic manner. It is one of those strengths
that I have and use in appropriate manner, for purpose of completing my work, while working
individually or in a group of people. Another strength that make me capable to develop and use
useful resources in business management as specialist area, is effective communication, which
increase my performance and productivity level in effective manner. With this power or strength,
I am able to interact with others and make important discussion based on essential concepts that
in turn provide desire outcomes. Lack of knowledge about developing new technology and
critical thinking are those terms, that are considered as my weaknesses. These areas for
improvement put negative impact on my performance, related to development and utilization of
resources such as technologies, presentation, etc. It is quite essential for me to develop or
improve each area in appropriate way, that support to achieve strategic aim, either long or short.
The areas of improvement had driven my attention toward considering and finding key solutions,
that support to solve the issue and enable to obtain unpredictable advantages.
5.3- Planing opportunities to improve own skills in development and use to resources in business
management specialist area.
There are different types of methods and techniques accessible in the world that I prefer
to use, improving my skills in development and usage of resources in business management
specialist field. I had taken approach to develop an action plan that is based on outcome of
personal observation and evaluation of practice that I had conducted earlier. In the recent time,
individual person prefer to develop an action plan, which drive their attention toward considering
key techniques that used to improve determined areas, that play important role in career growth
and success, whether it is related to personal or professional (CARBONEL, DOCTOR and
AGBISIT, 2021). Under action plan, I had taken approach to use key resources or approaches
that I used to develop or improve each area in appropriate manner. Negotiating with learners, is
another opportunity that I grab and use in order to reach desire outcomes that contribute further
aim achievement effectively and systematically. Negotiation is better than the other ineffective
approaches that in turn do not provide expect outcomes in form of achieving key objectives
related to professional career or specific specialist area such as business management. Both
techniques I include in my skills development plan, that I attempt to achieve under particular
time duration. I effort to develop first area in 1 month and the second one is within 2 months.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that, resource that has been adopted by the
teachers plays vital role in enhancing the learning procedure of students. The report has
highlighted the major concept in relation of using, developing and establishing the resource that
helps in increasing the learning effectiveness of the students. Furthermore, the report has
highlighted the theories, principle and models of inclusive curriculum design. The ways on
which resource has been classified and stored has been described. Moreover, the principle of
resource design and ways of adopting the resources has been highlighted in report. The ways in
which resource has been shared among learning professionals has been described. Designing and
employ of resources in order to engage and meeting individual learning needs has been done in
the report. Lastly, self-analysation in context of identifying strengths and weaknesses in relation
of developing and using resource has been done. On the basis of analysation the future plan has
been established.
