1. Ability to use SAP
Portfolio and project management is referred as brief and integrated description of the
system such as finance, human resource, operations and management. It is basically a project
created by Portfolio manager and system administrator to estimate the current position of
business which helps in taking steps to overcome challenges and risk. Generally, it is considered
as project life cycle which helps managers to control the activities of business (Kale, 2014).
Managers use SAP Portfolio and project management for the development of system and
controlling the activities of production system. Generally, skilled resources are able to manage
and implement SAP implications in BPM. Managers are responsible for creating projects,
strategic decisions, monitoring tasks and its completion. Role of project manager includes the
following practices:
It helps in creating the projects as project management are accountable for the entire
procedure of planning to implementation of strategies.
Managers are responsible for scheduling the system and activities that needs to be
conducted in projects.
They are also responsible for estimating the cost incurred in undertaking the projection
activities.
SAP portfolio is also helpful in taking Approvals and planning the new strategies
according to the current status of reports created by project manager (SAP portfolio and
business Management, 2018).
2. A reflection of values of SAP to business process management
The research deals with ERP (Enterprise resource planning), and The software is used to
perform SAP practices which helps in standardising the business process and it also supports the
functional operation of organization (Maheshwari, 2017). As a project manager, I have found
that Use of BPMM (Business process maturity model) have improved the purchasing process of
business and it leads to a great impact on many businesses in order to perform operational
practices. Being the manager, I have analysed that BPM processes comprise human activities and
implementation of strategies which helps in functional management of business project activities.
Following are the SAP values to Business project management.

SAPs Business processes are reflected through process Map and it helps in initialising the
project reports.
I have obtained that SAP process Map follows a hierarchical direction which helps to get
effective flow of operations in an enterprise.
It is also observed that application of SAP business process management produce quality
of projects and in my opinion it leads to correct implementation of strategies towards the
successful development of business project.
3. The limitations of the companies that using SAP in support of BPM
Implementation of SAP in an organisation is helpful in maintaining smooth flow of
business projects. It is one of the popular and widely used software in ERP solutions which
ensures smooth functioning of business management. However, it may be sometimes leads to
negative impacts on the business and these limitations or challenges are as follows:
One of the major challenge which is observed by the companies using this software is
that the firms are not able to process functioning of operation and management as
managers are applying various SAP and Non- SAP applications simultaneously.
Companies often fail to transmit and allow third party purchase in SAP which denotes its
ineffective functioning(Maheshwari, 2017).
Management need to integrate all the solutions of New mobile applications and it impacts
in dealing with BAPI and REST processes of business.
Many companies need better solutions rather than possible standards so management
cannot rely on the process implemented on SAP.
It also depends the user to effectively utilize SAP in order to support Business project
management.
