Personal learning and development is defined as the self improvement process which
is playing an important role in the students’ life (Matvienko, 2021). It focuses on building up
of knowledge, skills, awareness, overall sense of identity, etc. I found that it is very important
for my personal growth and success. I am the student of business and management so that’s
why it becomes more important for me to develop skills and knowledge with the help of
personal learning and development. The reason behind this is it is not possible for me to learn
from lectures only as it is not providing practical or real life experiences. So that’s why I
found personal learning and development is very important for me as it helps me to improve
my academic as well as professional skills. For the purpose of personal learning and
objectives development, I used some approaches such as active listening, positive

day the business environment is getting complex and dynamic in nature. So it becomes very
important for me to keep learning on a regular basis and that's why I am using personal
learning and developing approaches as it is the long-term process. It is really helpful for
people in order to analyse, improve and assess skills and qualities (Abouzeid, Wasfy and
Alkhadragy, 2021). I always try to listening actively so that I am able to perform any task in
an effective way. I found that if persons are not active listening then they are not able to
perform the task according to the requirement as well as it increases the wastage of time. For
example, my teacher asked about the importance of analysing the external environment in
business but if I'm not listening actively then I am not able to use this information in practical
life. I found that it really helpful for long-run purpose as it reduces the wastage of time.
