This report will be containing the requirement of the professional and academic skills
development and the reason for being the necessary aspect for building a career in business
management. There will be a elaboration of the challenges of studying business management and
thriving the professional practice in this field and it will be having the explanation of the importance
of the effective academic and professional skills development which helps the individual and as
well as the members of the team along with that this report will be having 7 major effective team
working kills which will be an asset for the team which would lead the team for the maximum
growth for the project of the company and the enhancement in the business.
LO 1 - CHALLENGES OF STUDYING BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
AND THRIVING IN PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE :
Making a career in the field of business management has it's own perks like high income
from the job and the ready job market etc. Though there are some disadvantages of this field as well
and some of the major demerits of studying business management are :
TIME MANAGEMENT : There are a lot of things that has been done by the student of the
business management , they have to attend the seminars , lectures , meetings , conferences and
activities etc. along with that they have to make the assignments , presentations and project reports
in this field and this is not all as they have to take out time for their personal and group studies or
time for their personal skill development. Student do not manage their time properly while doing all
of these tasks and because of this it becomes challenging for the student to complete the tasks
before the dead line (MitchellLarry,2021).
ADJUSTMENT AND BALANCE : Students usually feels imbalance in their personal life as they
move far from their home town , they feel disruption in adjusting themselves in the new
surroundings
CONNECTIONS : It is one of the most essential part of studying the business management as
student can make new connections in the new place , working together in a team might help them
meeting people and make connections but some students might not feel the same way and lack the
skills of making connections and being adaptable because of the trust issues or having the lack of
confidence.
