the citizens of Germany and UK who are far behind in the race of inviting the migrants than
other European countries. They have showed the number of people who have got the asylum in

as a refugee to their country. On the other hand, Germany have accepted more people and act as
a asylums for more people than UK. In Germany political issues are limiting the acceptance of
migrants but privately many natives of Germany have started helping the refugees. But in UK,
these things are limited and thus, the target audience of this article is the UK government,
citizens, private agencies, etc. From the abstracts it can be known that main target has been made
on the UK government because they are less willing to contribute themselves for the help of
Syrian refugee. In the second abstract, the target audience is again the government and system of
Hungary. It has taken money for the ticket and than closed the railway station for the migrants.
This article is about the corruption in the system and non-humanitarian attitude of the Hungarian
system (Brown, 2009).

helpless (DiTiberio and Jensen, 2007). The style which have been used is “Persuasive Writing
Style” so that people of the UK get persuade by reading this and start helping the migrants. The
effect it has on the writing style is that the editor has to convey the message in such a form that
people get persuade about the situation and start reacting on that for this purpose, editor has to
collect accurate information and has to mix some other style of writing as well in order to
support the main writing style which may impact the actual fundamentals of writing styles.
On the other hand, second article is targeted towards the corrupt system of the Hungary
which has used the writing style as expository in which the actual phenomena have been
described with a facts and figures (Earl‐Novell, 2001). This has impacted the writing style in a
greater manner. That while writing Expository style, editor has to use narrative style in middle as
well in order to provide support to the main style.
Effect of use of quotations and images on the reader
Every news articles contains some of the quotations and images which support the

persons”, We have a proud tradition of protecting
refugees. We’re not living up to it. It’s extremely disappointing. What’s needed in this
country is real leadership on this.” These quotes have a greater effect on the minds of the reader

First article describes that Germany's native people are supporting on their efforts and political
people are against the support and also UK people are less willing to provide support to the
people. This shows that the nations are not becoming the helping hand for the victims. In the
second scenario, Hungarian system has charged high amount from the victim and closed the rails
for the migrants and the people have died due to the crowd which shows the non-humanitarian
behavior of the people. Thus, it provide an evidence against the government of UK, Germany
and system.
TASK 3
Agreement and disagreement on Mr Hancock's position
Mr Matthew Hancock , a Cabinet officer Minister who have took the decision about the
wage policy. He decided that worker under 25 year of age should not be included for the living
wage policy. It is because according to him under 25 years people are not that productive than
the older worker in an organization. For this purpose, there is a complete disagreement on the
statement of Hancock. It is because, as a rational perspective it has been described that a young
candidate can produce more than the older worker. Because the energy level which a young
person possess is more than the older or middle aged person and the enthusiasm is more in the
age of 25 year (WHAT IS THE LIVING WAGE,. 2015). However, it can be agreed that
experience will be more in the older worker but the level of energy will be less in them as they
have already become lethargic by doing the same type of work for a longer period of time. If it is
being talked about the living wages than it can be described that the these days young people
have become self dependent and they require to fulfill its basic necessities by their own. Thus, it
can be supported that young people do require the increment in the living wages. Mr. Hancock
has increased the daily wage of older worker from £7.20 to £9. while there is no increase in the
wages of under 25 years people. There wage remained the same as £6.70. This decisions is
totally wrong and the explanations which have been given in the support of this decision is also
wrong. Thus, it is being disagreed because the people who are under the age of 25 have more
knowledge about the present scenario and they are
having best skills than the already working people. Furthermore, they are more creative and they
know the best possible solutions of every problems. It is said that freshers take more time in
learning and thus, they produce less but on the other hand, those people have more energy and

enthusiasm for the learning and they learn in a more faster manner and thus give enhanced

due to the young people. That is why the statement of Hancock is rejected that they are less
productive than the older people. On the other hand, the living wage should be increased because
their living of standard is rising and this at the end will benefit the company and also the
