BUSINESS COMMUNICATION
To whom it may concern
I would like to start with a quote of one famous personality who had quit smoking- “Smoking
Kills, If you’re killed, you’ve lost a very important part of your life”, Brook Shields.
Smoking is a habit that is developed by people in different stage of their lives, especially in
the young age, for various reasons. If you ask the present chain smokers none of them started
this to build a habit out of it. Gradually, the habit of smoking is engulfing the life of the
smokers. The statistics of the people dying for the use of nicotine/tobacco is easily available
in the internet.
Smokers can change their habit by will power and the help of near and dear ones. If one quits
smoking he or she can reduce the risk of the disease like coronary heart disease,
cerebrovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, oral and lung cancer and various
respiratory disease. A smoking free life is a better quality life with all its physical and mental
benefits. Other than that smoking has effects on the health of vulnerable pregnant women and
adolescents.
Therefore, smokers can get wonderful results if they quit it. There are both oral and therapy
process to help them come out of the claw of this deadly habit. Clinical counselling and
physicians help could be taken to quit smoking. Attending the stop-smoking groups and
developing a self-help plan for quitting smoking works miracle in this respect. Smokers can
divert their attention to other works to reduce smoking urges. It would be an amazing
experience to live in a world where we do not have to breathe in tobacco filled air.
