Hardware:
The first thing that Bill will need is two PC. One is for server and one is for client (that is
Bill). As the main accounting software system will be implemented online, the system can be
directly connected by the devices connected to the same switch. The configuration of the Server
PC is 4 terabytes of non-volatile storage. Bill needs three terabyte of data but four terabyte is
suggested for future use if the catalogue is updated or new restaurant joins Bill’s business
("Hardware Requirements | SapphireOne ERP Accounting Software", 2019). The PC server will
have Intel Xeon process with 32 GB of ram. A firewall is essential, the firewall must be
hardware so that proper security can be established in the network. The client PC will have a
monitor. The PC will have Intel i7 8th generation processor and 32GB ram. Bill will need mouse
and keyboard to control the PC. The network will use Network Ethernet 100/1000/10000 Base T
Switching or Managed Hub, Cat 6e copper UTP or greater Cabling (Jagroep et al., 2017).

Operating System:
Three major operating systems are available in the market. These operating systems are
Windows, Linux and MAC. Windows and MAC are mostly popular among the normal users.
However, the Linux is the biggest source of cyber security management in the world. The whole
core cyber related tasks are done in the Linux systems. Though, Linux is tightly coupled with
development and system maintenance, Bill does not have any knowledge of how to use a
command line based system ("Linux vs MAC vs Windows - Which One Is Better
(Infographics)", 2019). That is why the Windows can be the most effective choice here. MAC
OS is exclusively for the apple devices. As the apple devices are very costly, Bill is
recommended to use Windows or Linux.

The cost is only one factor in operating system selection. The Windows is far better when
it comes to software compatibility. Windows is easy to master and operate, while on the other
hand, the Linux based OS is much more complex. Bill is very comfortable with Windows system
and he is not a techy guy, it is recommended that Bill uses windows system for working
properly.
Other Technologies:
Bill can use Microsoft Azure virtual network for connecting the On-premise accounting
software to the internet. Just by configuring a cross-premises Azure virtual network, Bill will be
able to connect the system remotely from his phone or laptop. The VPN device needs to be
installed on the on-premises end is Zyxel Next Generation VPN Firewall. This will be done
through site-to-site VPN or Virtual Private Network. The Azure VPN gateway will the location
from where system can be connected through internet. As the number of virtual machine need
foe Bill is one, he can select the /29 subnet ("Connect an on-premises network to a Microsoft
Azure virtual network", 2019). This subnet is achieved by borrowing five bits from the network
address. Bill will need to give a name to the virtual network, the location of the Virtual network
needs to be selected next. After than IP address of the VPN device is introduced to the network
during configuration. The address space of the network is elected after that. At last the IPsec
shared key is created.

Software and Training:
The first training course that Bill should enroll into is Windows essential training. This
will make Bill very much comfortable about Windows operating system. He can efficiently and
accurately operate Windows system. The second is Windows Server course. It will make Bill
very skilled in handling the Windows server. As the server will have the Accounting Information
System, it is essential that Bill gets proper knowledge about using a MS Server, typically 2019
version. The third one is using the accounting software that will be handling all the business
operations of Bill.
