There must be proper communication between the different hierarchy levels in an
organization. There is a close relationship between organizational strategy and organization
strategy. In case of FBI, it can be said that there must be an improvement in the communication
process. The information system tries to monitor or try to document the operation of other
systems. There may be positive or negative effect if there is no proper communication between
the two strategies. Although, it can be said that there are various ways through which the
information strategies and the organization strategies can help in the operation of a business
venture and thus provide satisfactory results. Thus, proper interaction is necessary in the
implementation, management and development in the operation of the entire process (Rodriguez,
Peterson & Ajjan, 2015).

In most circumstances, it is seen that culture is blamed when there are certain loopholes
in the organization. Culture plays an important role in the organizational and national level and it
also exerts a powerful influence on the organization and people. The IT researchers are also
interested in understanding the relationship between information technologies and culture.
Culture can be farmed according to different ideologies, assumptions, core values, collective will
and understanding. There are certain assumptions which are at the core of culture and thus these
represents the beliefs of the individuals towards reality, relationships, human behavior and truth.
The FBI also tried to protect and preserve their own culture. The cultural studies were first
classified according to the focus on the national or oragnisational culture (Goetsch & Davis,
2014).

The relationship between information strategy and business strategy is an important
concern for the managers. There is a close link between the generic strategies of an organization
and the strategic information system. The managers are questioning the value of IT strategies and
thus they try to realize the benefits and costs which are involved in the investment technology.
The information system tries to monitor or try to document the operation of other systems. In
case of South West Airlines, it can be said that they are trying to maintain the quality and
provide proper service to the customers. There is difference in the work culture of the two
airlines system and thus the managers are trying to improve the quality. In this case, if there is a
merger between the two companies, it will result in loss in the business (Peppard & Ward, 2016).

It can be suggested that Southwest Airlines is competing with AirTran and it is expanding
in the international market. The international presence has helped Southwest Airlines to expand
in northern parts of South America and many other parts of Central America. AirTran has also
helped to make Southwest airlines one of the largest domestic airlines and this is based on the
average number of passengers. There are some important concerns in relation to Southwest
airlines such that it operates on point-to-point network. The operating cost of SouthWest Airlines
is cheaper than the other airlines. The acquisition and integration of AirTran has helped
SouthWest to compete more effectively with the other important network carriers (McDermott et
al., 2013).

Zip Car has focused on three broad customer segments i.e. the individuals, companies
and the universities. It is a young company and it has created an alternative to the automobile
ownership industry for the urban dwellers. It is one of the important organizations to utilize the
wireless technology for its advantage. It also invested a huge amount in research and
development and the distinctive competence has helped to improve the technologies of the
company. It also began to streamline the car rental process and thus help in the locating of the
cars on real time basis. It also aimed to satisfy the needs of the customers at a fraction of the cost
of car ownership (Bocken & Bocken,2017)..
Team 7
It is important for a growing company like Zip Car to be transparent and maintain its
authenticity so that people can understand the business relationship properly. Zip Car is using
digital ads to create awareness among the people. The high price of gas is an important
challenging factor of Zip Car and it has threatened the customers. Though the company is
maintaining steady growth in its fleet size and metro services but it cannot earn huge profits due
to this factors. This rising price is challenging for Zip Car and it is paving the way for traditional
car rental market (Kula, 2015).
