Discussion
1. The role of a system analyst:
A system analyst is referred to that individual, who is occupied in designing
procedures and creating analysis to provide solutions to all the business-related issues by
utilizing information technology (Manoussaridis, Mamaloukas & Sagheb-tehrani, 2013). A
System analyst will serve as the person who will bring transformation to the agents and will
recognize the significant organizational developments (Ren, 2017). They will identify the
improvements that are required to design the systems to practice all the significant changes.
These individuals will train as well as motivate other individuals to utilize the systems
appropriately (Dennis, Wixom & Tegarden, 2015).
Some other characteristics are associated with technical knowledge, and computer

tasks effectively (Paul, 2018). There are two essential abilities that are required for problem-
solving as well as critical thinking. In this way, it will help them to identify the unwanted
problems, along with evaluating alternative responses to all the issues and will benefit them
to choose among the best ones (Tomlinson & Kiss, 2013).
2. Definition of Trends of business system analysis:
According to the system analyst perspective, trends are defined as the involvement for
obtaining the statistical analysis of its own historical information over the desired time frame
along with charting the level of progression (Li, Qiao & Wang, 2017). The collected data will
show a different level of consistency such as increasing factor, declining factor, and
constancy factor. In this way, trends are recognized at various sets of standards and it will
channelize the business system. All sizes, as well as shapes of the businesses, utilize these
kinds of information in order to provide adequate help and to predict the future after shaping
through some relevant strategic decisions. The trends have set a positive impact on the
expected growth in the year 2022. It will include the developing adoption in advanced

7BUSINESS SYSTEM ANALYSIS
There are five useful trends that will help to understand the business analysis
specializations that are on-demand in the present year:
a) Technology implementation:
In this modern generation, businesses are emerging rapidly by adopting the latest and
advanced technology such as DevOps (development opera4tions), learning about machines,
cloud computing, along with application portfolio optimization. System analysts are required
to familiarize themselves and need to be proficient in the latest technologies. In this way, it
will help to enable all the system analysts to suggest the best solutions for all the companies
(Roztocki & Weistroffer, 2015). The Internet is an essential aspect in order to maintain the
technology application and is one of the most famous factors in this business world. In the
upcoming years, the desired number of interconnected devices will compete with the
connected sensors that are set to rise exponentially. In short, more technology applications
will result in this generation of the colossal amount of information in the upcoming future.
Recently, most of the organizations are seeking for system analysts who will understand all
the big data theory, along with practical approaches of mining data for the enhancement in
the field of business (Botha, Kourie & Snyman, 2014).
b) Agile practices on-demand:
In the world of business, it has been experiencing intense pressure for agile practices
so that they can offer all the desired goods and services by focusing on the demands of the
customers. They need to provide all the products and services as quickly as possible. System
analysts, who are unable to adopt all effective practices, will find it very difficult to cope up
with it. It will not turn out to be easy enough to stay afloat as well as to offer adequate
delivery (Larson & Chang, 2016). Therefore, system analysts are needed to take up the
responsibility, along with the oversee projects so that they can evaluate as well as produce
extra value from business projects by taking responsibilities, including product owner and

scrum master. System analysts are always engaged for agile projects and working effectively
with the product owners in the desired areas such as application testing, change in
management, and design of user’s experience (Brunetti et al., 2014). Most of the companies
will always appreciate the outcome that has been achieved by the agile projects. In these
processes, they may experience some extreme challenges during establishing profits with
enterprise-wide adoption, implementation, along with intricate projects. They are basically
based on large, along with elaborate plans, and enterprise-wide agile projects.
c) Digital transformation:
Digital transformation is defined as an effective strategy, which is required to analyze
one’s own needs as well as maintaining one’s culture of the company. It is required to set
adequate business goals and to understand the major risks in the documentation and to run the
tests effectively (Schwertner, 2017). System analysts should take adequate advantages of
cloud computing as well as mobile applications. These are two underlying trends that are
developing quite rapidly in this digital world. Thus, these types of technological innovations
are always influencing the business analysis, which is interconnected with both functional
and non-functional requirements, including usability, accessibility, recoverability, security,
and user experience (Klewes, Popp & Rost-Hein, 2017). There are mainly two significant
aspects of digital transformation, and they are:
i. Mobile applications:
According to system analysts, they are required to recognize the advantages of mobile
applications. It is capable of directing the significance of utilizing the benefits, sketching out
the probable limitations, obtaining the goals of the respective companies, and re-designing
the processes of the business.

ii. Cloud computing:
In the present generation, companies are searching out various ways to diminish the
costs and to maintain the rising demand for gathering relevant information, along with fast
delivery. Cloud has been identified as one of the most effective outcomes, which includes
developing efficiency, promoting production, agility, and decreasing legal risks in order to
assure compliance in a company.
d) Analytics and data:
Data and analytics are referred to as the science in which raw data is analysed in order
to generate the desired outcomes regarding any information. The information can be
optimized the processes of business analysis so that they can develop the whole efficiency of
any system or business (Minelli, Chambers & Dhiraj, 2013). Business analysis is always
attached to data presentation, and system analysts are required to utilize such advanced
equipment and applications to report about essential data in business analysis. Nowadays,
data and analytics are not counted in the luxurious aspects of the organization by delivering
the most significant budgets that used to benefit in accommodation in separate groups of data
and analysts experts. All the companies irrespective of their sizes, they need to obtain data
analytics. After gaining advanced technology, along with market forces, more advantages
have been recognized (Acito & Khatri, 2014). Yet, it is necessary to optimize the processes in
order to develop the whole efficiency of a business or a system.
e) Experiences of the user:
Customer’s experience is generated by gathering their individual interfaces and
furnishing them by occupying powerful capabilities in order to develop their individual
experiences. In this way, it will require effective methods, procedures, techniques, and
policies so that it may help in improving the user’s demands while enhancing technology
(Albert & Tullis, 2013). A user’s experience will help to design the fundamental significance

of technological advancements that are transformed according to the interaction between
computers and human beings. As expected in the upcoming years, virtual reality will
encourage and introduce a new set of approaches for delivering commands and interacting
with networks. There are some basic similarities to the business analysis so that the system
analyst can quickly obtain the user’s experience skills. Several types of business analysis
events that will include usability testing, system design, along with requirements definition.
In short, it will help to integrate with the users’ experience design.

In the business system, a stakeholder has been identified through internal as well as
external stakeholders that include investors of a company, employees, customers, and
suppliers. It will consist of those actions that may determine the results of individual
decisions in the businesses (Wennink, 2014). It may also include the employees who consist
of a stake in the organization’s success, along with an incentive for all the products to
improvise and succeed.
The internal, as well as external stakeholders, are involved in this advanced business
system, and those are:

financially or directly connected with the operational processes. In this process, there are
certain kinds of stakeholders, and they are owners, employees, and managers (Wennink,
2014).

business operations. They help in integrating businesses in the social context outcomes in a
broader aspects of communication with a various number of different external stakeholder
groups (Wennink, 2014). In this way, it is required to understand the positive as well as
negative impacts of the company on the wider external ambiance.
i. Suppliers:
Suppliers, along with other strategic alliances are interconnected, in which the success
will influence the success of the others. As the desired outcome, suppliers are actively related

to all the organisations and has been recognized as the major external stakeholders (Bughin,
Chui & Manyika, 2013).
ii. Customers:
The primary objective of obtaining products and services is associated in fulfilling all
the needs. It is required to understand the needs of a company to follow up the necessities of
the customers (Wennink, 2014). Therefore, an essential part of maintaining a business is
interacting with the customers through every means of connection like social media,
storefronts, emails, user testing teams, and executing of goods and services.
iii. Local community:

Some critical requirements may involve a product, service and the desired solution are
required to function from the perspective of the user (CeArley et al., 2016). Then, they are
going to discuss about the basic features, along with the functions due to which all the users
can connect with the requirements effectively.

b) Operational requirements:
These define all the operations that should be carried out at the background in order to
deliver the product or the processes sufficiently functioning over a certain period of time
(Bughin, Chui & Manyika, 2013).
c) Technical requirements:
The technical requirements are associated with the technical problems that should be
considered for the further practices and that should be delivered successfully as per the
processes are concerned (CeArley et al., 2016). In this way, they will produce the product on
time without lagging behind any critical issues.
d) Transitional requirements:
In the business analysis, system analysts should look over on the last requirement and
that is transitional requirement, where steps are required to be implemented for executing
new products through adequate processes (Bughin, Chui & Manyika, 2013).
Conclusion
In the concluding part, system analysts should utilize the analysis, along with
development of the organisation’s business operations in order to progress by associating
with advanced business trends. System analysts should prepare the test methods so that other
functions should be developed effectively. In this way, definition of the specifications will be
redefined unless they are clearly testable. Therefore, all the trends will support adequately to
improve the situations and provide and maintain every significant procedure. Thus, Data
analytics procedures will reveal different kinds of trends and metrics that may get lost after
gaining mass information. Therefore, the business analysis will benefit by utilizing this data
or information, and the organizations are required to adopt all the practices of data analysis,
along with practical tools. Even after utilizing the internet pack by the employees so that they
