Characteristics of two effective business teams
There are two most important teams of organization first is marketing and second is finance, both
have their own characteristics which are follows as under team:
Marketing team: Members of marketing team engage in promotional and advertisement activities
to promote and advertise organizational goods and services.
Finance team: The biggest characteristic this team is that it share company's financial position
with other departments.
Importance of stages of team development
There are different stages of team development of marketing, which are follows as under:
Forming: This step helps in establishing ground rules for group. In this, new member of
marketing team is treated as stranger.
Storming: In this stage, new member feel themselves as individual, they think that still they are
not part of team.
Norming: In this, new member feel that they are the part of team.
Performing: In this stage, all members work together to accomplish marketing objectives.
With the help of team development stages, group members can work inn most effective and
systematic manner. Also, can attain marketing goals in appropriate manner.
Importance of team role theory
With the help of Belbin team role model, team leader can easily understand the talent and
personality of his team members. This theory includes different roles which are follows as
under:
Resource investigator: This person identify different future opportunities and makes new contact.
But sometimes he become over-optimistic.
Team worker: He is cooperative type of person but he become indecisive in crunch situations.
Co-ordinator: He is very confident type of person but can be seen as manipulative sometimes.
Plant: He is known as very creative person but he ignores incidents.
Monitor: He is called as strategy maker but he can not inspire others.
Specialist: He is considered as single minded and self starter. But he think as narrow person.
Shaper: He is challenging person but he does not consider feeling of other person.
Implementer: He is very reliable, efficient and practical person but he respond very slowly.
