INTRODUCTION
Business information technology system is related to implementing information
technologies in the company to increase the productivity and profitability for the firm. This
study will include Google to perform following task of this study. Google is operating its
various activities in all over the regions. It has number of employees more than 85000. It
provides various products and services such as google flights, google custom search , google
hotel finder and security tool such as Recaptcha etc. This study will include the use of IT system
with different functions of the organisation. Furthermore, it will include It systems contribution
to achievement of objectives of the firm. It will also provide different ways through which IT
system can process and store data. Furthermore, it will include IT system uses for supporting
value- added change for improving business operation, performance and sustainability.
TASK 1
1.1 Use of IT system with different functions of an organisation
Information technology system is related use of different software and system for
improving productivity of the organisation. Information technology is related to use of different
technologies for improving its manufacturing process etc. Information technology system is used
in organisation to perform various task of the organisation (Cooke and Huggins, 2018).
Organisation uses IT system to performs various functions such as marketing , accounting ,
research and development and production function.
Marketing function of google include marketing of its various products and services by
use of different promotional tools such advertising in newspaper, magazines etc. Google uses
information technology system for its marketing function through which it promotes its products
and services to sell it in the market. Information system assist Google in various decision-
making regarding various tools or marketing mix such as product, price, place and promotion.
Organisation uses It system in order to identify information relating to customers. IT system
assist marketing function bringing innovative ideas for promotion and product development.
Accounting function of the organisation uses information technology system to store and
record different financial transactions (Howell, van Beers and Doorn, 2018). IT system assist in
increasing the operational efficiency of the Google by providing them with accounting
information system which assist firm in collecting, storing, managing and processing financial

data in order to be used by managers, business analyst etc. IT system assist in saving time by
recording the data automatically.
Production function of organisation uses It system in order to increase the productivity of
the organisation by providing customers with high quality products to increase the profitability
of the firm. Production department of the organisation uses this function for reducing the cost of
production by implementing various information technology systems. Google uses information
technology system for managing its inventory by implementing inventory management system in
the firm that will assist the company in reducing inventory misplacement and fraud by proper
tracking the inventory through the use of information management system. Organisation also
uses cloud computing for performing its various functions . Cloud computing helps the
organisation in increasing its capacity to store data.

Information technology contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the google.
Organisation by using IT system can maximise its profitability. Information technology provide
organisation with various benefits such as :
Communication system : Management of the organisation require various sources of gathering
and distribution of information which involves lot of time. Google by implementing information
system such as communication system managers will be able to communicate various
information by making the communication process more efficient. Managers can store the data
and provide it to the employees whenever required (Santoro and et.al, 2018). This system assist
in improving communication between different department which leads to improve the
efficiency of the employees and the objectives of the organisation are achieved effectively and
efficiently.
Operation management: Information technology system assist in improving various
operation performed by the Google. This system assist in identifying various informations
relating to competitors which helps in improving the efficiency of the firm by providing its
customers with better services and products (Long, 2018). Google by implementing operation
management system can increase its efficiency level and productivity which will assist the firm
in achieving its objectives, Sales data provided by system assist in identifying products
purchased by customers and can improve their product according to their demand to increase its

transferring information and uses technologies such as video conferencing for transmission of
tacit knowledge. Information technology systems used for knowledge management include
decision support system, database management system etc. Information technology system are
used to store and process data for knowledge management in order to improve business
efficiency.
Customer relationship management : Customer relationship management is a tool for
collecting and managing the information regarding organisation existing and potential customers.
Information technology system assist in making a strong relationship with customers by use of

assist inn collecting information through the use of internet about their customers to improve

ensure reliability and timeliness of the data for its users (Mursu, Soriyan and Korpela, 2018).
This system of IT assist in protecting and storing the information through the use of database

by collecting the data and then the collected data is converted into machine – readable form and
them processing of input data is done to receive the output of the data which is stored in the
computer based software for future requirement. Information is easily available to the

order to achieve profitability of firm.
Communication management : Communication management is related to systematic
planning, implementing , monitoring of all the channels of communication in an organisation.
Communication management software assist in decreasing duplication of employee efforts by

There are various problems which are being faced by different firms such as lack of
financial governance, lack of proper communication, lack of security of data, lack of innovation,
lack of customer service ,ineffective job performance etc (Alles and et.al., 2018). Enterprise in
order to solve these problems implement different information technology systems. Following
include various business problems:
 Lack of financial governance : Financial governance is a way through which
organisation collect , manage, monitor and control financial information. Lack of

financial governance can cause a lot of problems to the organisation which leads to
reduce profitability of the firm.
 Lack of data security : Different organisation face this problem due to which fraud and
misappropriation of data take place. Lack of data security can be harmful and
organisation can face losses.
 Lack of innovation : lack of innovation affect the business performance and reduce its
customers. Lack of innovation problem is faced by different organisation due to which
they are not able to provide high quality services to its customers.
Practical IT solution to the above problems
 Organisation for reducing lack of financial governance should make use of information
technology systems to automatically collect and record data relating to various financial
activities which will helps the business in increasing its profitability. For example, Nike
is facing problem of financial governance . Nike should implement advanced technology
for recording and collecting financial information to increase its efficiency.
 Organisation in order to increase data security to reduce fraud and misproportion of
various information of firm should implement information technology solution such as
cloud computing, cyber security etc. to reduce the problem of data security. For example,
Uber, is facing problem relating to its data security which has affected to public at large.
Uber in order to reduce this problem must implement high data security software and
provide access top limited number of people.

From the above study it has been concluded about information technology system in
business. It has provided with use of different IT systems with different function of organisation
which has included marketing function, production function etc. with different information
system used for improving these operations. This study has also provided with IT system
contribution to achievement of organisation objective that has included saving time, assist in
decision – making ,effective communication etc. It has also provided with different ways through
