INTRODUCTION
Business Tourism is limited to travelling for a purpose where individuals are working and
being paid for the trip. The report will outline destinations which are suitable for hosting MICE
event which are base of Business Tourism. Further, the study will identify importance of
Bleisure category.
MAIN BODY
Destination eligible for hosting MICE event
Meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions events are organised for specific purpose
and therefore cannot be organised at every tourist destination. Business tourism requires specific
destination for hosting MICE events (Giaoutzi, 2017). For example, conferencing and meetings
event of business requires hotels like Hilton London Canary Wharf. Further, eligible destination
for exhibition event can be Pop up thematic space where ultimate aim is to surprise traveller with
gifts, transportation and food services.
Importance of Bleisure category
Bleisure travellers are the individuals who comprise business trip to personals and therefore
considering this category is becoming important because of increase expectations of millennials.
As per sustainable tourism guide it has been identified that 6 out of 10 business travels ends up
being in Bleisure category (The Definitive Guide For sustainable tourism, 2018). Also, majority
of business trips stats from weekdays and end up on weekends and therefore considered needs
and expectation of this category can increase revenue generation ability of industry.
CONCLUSION
The study summarized about business tourism which is specific to MICE event like
conferences in hotels which are located in business districts of country. Further, it outlined the
importance of Bleisure category because of increasing expectation of business millennials.
