Marketing and finance:
In business organisation there are different activities and functions that unpin the
workforce and management. Marketing and finance plays a very important role in implementing
activities and functions of business organisation (Andersen, 2016). Marketing is a process in
which the manager provides product and services to its customer. On the other hand, finance is
the process of analysing capital, assets, liabilities and many more. Finance plays a crucial role
for every business to operates its business activities and functions in an effective manner. Along
with this, it is also necessary for business to support business functions to operate smoothly
within the organisational premises. Both finance and marketing are the base of company without
which it is impossible for manager to operate its business activities and function in an
appropriate manner. The main purpose of company is to earn more and more profit to run the
organisation effectively. Through different promotional strategies such as advertising, sales
promotion and publicity the marketer attract more and more customer. Along with this, the main
purpose of finance function is to provide finance and resources which is necessary for business.
The company make effective strategy, plan and policies for success of business in marketplace.
In addition to this, it is risky and time consuming process (Martin, 2018).
Marketing and Human Resource:
The company is a wider term and it is necessary to emphasised on marketing trends and
fashion. Both Marketing and human resource is important in every phase of the company. The
main purpose of marketing is to gain revenue as well as product awareness in front of customer.
The company adopt various tools, strategies and techniques based on occurrence of an event and
situation (Della Ratta, 2016). Human resource is beneficial for recruiting and provide training
and development to the candidate for improving the performance level of employees in the
company. Therefore they both plays a crucial role based on the need of business organisation.
The HR manager recruits talented candidate for increasing productivity of company. In addition
to this, HR manager perform multitasking function within the organisation.
LO2 Important academic skills need to be successful undergraduate student
Skills and knowledge are important in academics as they show capability of an individual
person to execute a task. The skill, knowledge and academics are essential tool for students to
achieve success in their career. There are two types of skill such as research and practical skills.

Research skill are those in where wide research is required to get a knowledge about a particular
topic. On the other hand, Practical research involves human action, involvement as well as
interaction (Holmes, 2017). Apart from this, there are various skills other than research and
practical skill which is essential for students such as concentration and time management. It is
based on student behaviour and attitude to use which kind of skills. Undergraduate students are
in learning time period thus they have the capability to get and alter themselves into a valued
assets for achieve success in their career.
