The secondary set of data had been obtained from the Google Scholar using smart
search on best HR policies with turnover and retention as the two variables including the
inclusion (papers published in English, published not more than 10 years ago, focused on
employee turnover and retention) and exclusion criterions (papers not published in English,
published year more than 10 years and not related to turnover and retention). The relevant
sources identified were 20 out of which 15 were considered that fulfilled the inclusion criteria
and the further sections of the research proposal were developed. Relevant paper yielded the
employee retention of 297 employees in a UK based IT firm with better managerial policies
(Kossek & Ollier-Malaterre, 2013).
