INTRODUCTION
Management of human power according to the demands of the organisation can be stated
as a work force planning(Schweyer, 2010). It is having a huge significance to attain objectives in
pre decided time limits. It helps to a firm to manage their employees acc0prding to the need of
the skills of a production line. The present report is based on the CA City Retail Group which is
a is big structured organisation. The company is having their retail outlets of departmental stores,
Cafe and Service station in the South east QLD. So they are having different teams in these
stores top provide services services to the customers. As they are having straight connection with
the customers so they are having most of the female staff for execution of the services. Since last
six months they are having regular increase in labour turnover in the female staff. So they have
to proper solution to retain a level in the labour turnover and as well as in to the maintain a
standard level in the working environment. This report is having focus on the labour turnover,
which is impacting on the CA City Retail Group.

QUESTION 1
Retail sector is having huge demands of the customers so it is putting a pressure on the
employees and as well as on the companies to produce and deliver best quality products and
services for them. As the CA City Retail Group is dealing in the retail sector which is having
direct influence of the customers demands, they have to make changes in their products and
services. The company is having cafe in the city so where they have to provide similar taste in it
according to the customers. Sometimes which is not possible to deliver the same product,
services and taste for the employees due to variance in the raw material. The Labour Market
Information Portal is analysing on the organisations which is having labour turnover. According
to the Australian Government Department of Employment, the Australis 5.8% unemployment
rate in the 15 years age group and 741,100 youngsters are employed in the organisation(Ono,
Lafortune and Schoenstein, 2013). In the month of August 2015, the CA City Retail Group is
having 10.5% female turnover and 1.5% male turnover. It indicates that the retail company is not
having appropriate conditions to perform for the females. They are having consistent increase in
the labour turnover in the female sections so they have to make investigation on it to resolve the
issues and increase working conditions for the female workers. As the CA City Group is working
in the different sector, the company can increase their activities in different demographics to
increases the competencies in all sectors.

business activities;
Attract and retain a capable skilled workforce: The company is using this skill to recruit
peoples in the organisation in different posts. In the starting of the recruitment, the organisation
is attracting candidates by an impressive remuneration according to their efforts. As they are
having different types of teams so they are using the attractive salaries to attract candidates
which are having similar skills which they want for a particular post(Cole and Kelly, 2011).
After it to retain their employees, they are using incentives and appraisal schemes to retain their
employees in the organisation.
Develop the workforce to meet future skill needs: The organisation is providing training and
development program to their employees to meet the standard level as they wants. After

Strategies to retain employees in the organisation to reduce labour turnover;
By offering competitive benefits package to employees; The company can provide health
insurance, life insurance and pension schemes after the retirement of the employees(Jackson,
Schuler and Werner, 2011). By this, CA City Retail Group can retain their employees for a long
time. Which helps them to achieve their business targets.
Small perks: The organisation can provide some small perks to their employees like; move
tickets in a month and family lunch in a hotel can provide them some extra perk. By this the
organisation can retain their employees for a long time and they can keep their interest in the
work.

Contest and incentives to motivate workers: The management can create some extra curricular
activities in the organisation to entertain to employees and retain their interest in the
organisation. By this act they organisation can spread a motivation in them which helps to them

retain them and to satisfy them.
