INTRODUCTION
Business administration refers to procedures and techniques to manage overall
operational activities in proper manner. It involves several aspects including overseeing and
supervising business operations along with relevant fields. Moreover, it involves various areas
such as human resource, finance, marketing and many more which are required to be managed in
appropriate manner to gain desired outcomes (Atkin and Brooks, 2014). The present report is
based on Cadbury which is known as a British multinational confectionery company owned
Mondelez International since 2010. It was founded by John Cadbury in the year around 1824,
almost 194 years ago and provide several products including Dairy Milk chocolate, the Creme
Egg, Roses selection box & many other confectionery products. This assignment will focus on
management of effectiveness of work & systems and factors essential to design systems,
procedure & guidance documents. It will also include creation of working environment which is
conducive to productive work and evaluate effectiveness of office systems & processes.
TASK 1
1.1 Need to establish and apply office management procedures
Office management procedures can be described as appropriate methods and techniques
which facilitate to manage overall operations in order to attaining set goals in proper manner. It
includes to apply efficient methods for planning, organising, controlling, staffing, supervising,
motivating and directing. The Cadbury company can implement effective procedures as it is
required in several ways which are explained below –
Ensure optimum use of resources – There are different types of resources such as raw
material, human resource, funds etc. which should be used properly by avoiding wastage of the
same. It is helpful to reduce overall cost of production and increase profit margin of business
which can be done through effective management processes (Davila, Epstein and Shelton, 2012).
The Cadbury should make sure optimum utilisation of resources with the help of appropriate
techniques or methods in terms of attaining better profits.
Dynamic approach – This is kind of dynamic approach because changing trends of
market and demands of customers influence to modify operational procedures to fulfil changed
