INTRODUCTION
Background
Equality and diversity explain as to promoting opportunity equality for all, by diversity,
providing every people chance to attain potential and free from discrimination. It assures that
each one has access to similar opportunities and fair treatment. If company will promote the
equality and diversity then business and people thrive all backgrounds can together and attain the
success (Bennedsen and et. al., 2019). Cadbury is multinational confectionery firm owned
through Mondelez International. This company maintains the work culture which is not
performance driven but incorporates fun at workplace.

Equality and diversity
On the basis of Dr. Kelly S. Meier (2019) Equality and Diversity is legal obligation in
order to protect against discrimination. It is mainly define and also champaign the diversity and
equality as explaining society values. Equality is assuring the people and groups which are not to
be treated differently on the basis of particular characteristics. Promoting the equality at
workplace helps in removing discrimination in all aforementioned fields (Boehm and
Dwertmann, 2015). On the other hand, diversity aim is to identify the respect, value proposition
and recognise the differences to be contribute and also realise full potential through promoting
inclusive culture for all employees. In context to Equality and Diversity, Cadbury concentrated
on capturing positive working culture in context of developing right climate, motivating the team
and also attaining better outcomes.
Benefits that organisation get with the equality and diversity practices
As per viewpoint of Louise Petty (2019), Equality and diversity at workplace assured that
each employee has access similar opportunities and as well fair treatment. Equality is an idea that
employee should be treated in fair manner while diversity is related to identifying that both
person and the group differences. In regards to this, Cadbury believed in developing brands and
making the positive working environment. There are some advantages of equality and diversity
at workplace given below:
Creates innovation- Working with the different working experiences, background, style
help in give suggestions and feedbacks to each other. In this, one individual may be think out of
box and other have the experience to be execute so it is necessary to play on strength of each
person and also collaborate with the others in team (Bonikowska, Drolet and Fortin,2019).
Improve Employee performance- Staff members in Cadbury feel more comfortable in
environment where main priority is inclusivity. At workplace, equality is necessary to motivating
employees from all the backgrounds to feel more confident in ability and also attain best.

According to Diane Lynn (2019) Equality and diversity is core to company culture and
strive to be promote as well as maintain diverse, stimulating and inclusive working environment
where staff are treated with respect and dignity. It helps in enhancing their morale as well as
performance so that they can sustain for longer at workplace. In regards to this, success of

motivating them with their job from creating a positive work environment. Cadbury focuses
primarily on creating an inclusive working culture through the promotion of employee equality
and diversity. Diversification assists Cadbury in retaining workforce of diverse backgrounds or
identities which provide greater knowledge and insight combined with different competencies
and practices. Shared knowledge and the working support of different background people helps
understanding the various skills. In regards to this, equality and diversity practices helps in
support the large number of people that assures workforce development and include competent

Research philosophy- This is set of the beliefs that concerning nature of reality to be
investigated. Positivism and interpretivism are two different research philosophy. Under present
investigation, interpretivism has been use because this support in-depth study over the existing
information through including the opinions of authors (Council, 2019).
Research Approach- There are inductive and deductive are to different research
approaches. Among both, inductive approach has been used because in this data collect and also
develop the theory as result of data analysis (Hewins-Maroney and Williams, 2013).
Research strategy- It is road map for attain research objectives to give relevant answer of
research questions. There are different strategies such as experiment, case study, survey,
grounded theory etc. There has been survey used because it helps in give the answer about
research questions related to specific subject (Kirton and Greene, 2015).
Research choice- In an investigation, researcher need to use single technique for
collection and analysis of data. There has been qualitative and quantitative techniques. In present
research, qualitative has been used because it gives the detailed explanation regarding specific
areas (Kulkarni and Gopakumar, 2014).
Time horizons- Cross- sectional and longitudinal are two time horizons. In context to
present research, cross sectional has been used because it considered the specific time in which
research need to be completed (Kumar, 2019).
Data collection and techniques- It is concerned with gathering data and information.
Primary and secondary are two different data collection method. Sources to collect primary data
are questionnaire, observation, focus groups etc. In this study, questionnaire has been developed
to collect primary information. The secondary method has been used to collect data for
conducting literature review (O'Neill, 2019). Sources to gather information from secondary
method are journals, books, articles etc.
Sampling- It is related to developing particular target sample from population. In present
study, random sampling has been used to conduct a survey. It is considered as form of
