In India, Christianity is one of the important/famous religions. At present there are about
25 million Christians in India. The third largest group in India is formed by Christians would

Calvary Temple Mega Church
Calvary temple is biggest church in India, started on June 5th 2005 in Kukapally,
Hyderabad, India by senior Pastor Satish Kumar with handful of 25 people. Brother Satish
Kumar trod towards sanctitude and expounding, at his early age of 12, soon with enormous
power and hand of God on him, he started learning how to acknowledge voice of God and also
know will of God in his life and even priesthood.
Origin and Growth of Calvary Temple Mega Church
In year 1995, “I WILL GIVE YOU A VERY BIG CHURCH” is the statement as voice of
God that Satish Kumar has heard in his heart. He shared this news with his fellow mates and
started praying for vision of God to give him strength with strong purpose and proper plan to
fulfill dream of God in his life. In the beginning, it was even hard to imagine but this vision
became reality with blessings of God, his determination and support of his brothers.
He own by God to sermonize the word of God with his potential and jurisdiction. He
espouse preaching the word with demonstration and fable in his preaching method from Jesus
Christ. This profoundly helped people to understand the word and apply it to their daily lives.
His soul filled sermons have attracted thousands of people to Calvary temple.

 Prayer and Fasting: folk of the church gave importance to devotion. Priest Satish live
devoting and without eating food for 40 sunlight which was extended for next 4o days
and more at duration of architecting new home of Lord in 52 days and due to this they

became able to build their building project in decided period of time. Due to pleading and
being without food result in surprising event of construction and success of chapel.
 Doctrine: In every service Pastor Satish Kumar preaches a full message by which his
ambition is that Jesus be prominent.

“DON’T BE AFRAID” sermon by pastor Satish Kumar
In the sermon “DON’T BE AFRAID” pastor Satish Kumar preaches about Joshua written
in Bible. His actual name was Hoshea means savior and in Greek he was equal to God. He was
born in Egypt and lived 110 years.
He was a servant of Moses for long time. Once Moses said Joshua to get ready for fight for
Israelites against Jericho and Moses pray here for Joshua. Obedient Joshua went to battle and
conquest the fight and came back with victorious.
Moses was a great leader and talked directly to God. History says that the servants of god
may die, the workers of God may die but work of God will continued. God called Joshua and
said that Moses died and chooses Joshua as a leader of people to preach the message of God to
them. God encourage Joshua to lead in the absence of Moses because there was no one who can
help Joshua but Joshua was strong and courageous. God was with Joshua to help him every time.

God gave three purposes to Joshua:
 To lead the people
 To fight against enemies and conquest
 To inherit the Promised Land.
God said Joshua that many difficulties will come across your path but I am with you and
Joshua conquest all the battles strongly and courageously and became leader to help people.
Pastor said that you have to be strong and face all the problems all alone with the mercy
of God on you by preaching a story of a student and master in which master leave his student all
alone in forest to face all the problems and of a children who was away from his father in another
city and children wrote letter to his father for money and his father asked him to read Bible not
about money and it happened repeatedly over all letter of children.
After that when children met his father and asked angrily about not sending him money.
Than father again asked he read bible or not and when children replied yes, he read Bible than
father open the chapters about whom he said to read and there was money for children.
Than father said that he wanted you help yourself and to face problems that you will be
strong and courageous but you did not read bible and was in problem. If you read Bible you
found solutions of all your problems.
Pastor preaches that God says that all your needs will be met if you read the words of
God (Kumar, 2018).
I get strength and courage to face problems with being afraid after hearing sermon.
Because if we want to survive then we have to fight against barriers and God have mercy on us
and we will pass across all over the barriers.

Conclusion
 Calvary church is expanding all over the nation, regardless the powerfully pro-Hindu
government, it actually is the time for favor of God on India.
 Chapel is gift of Lord given to India by pastor Satish Kumar.
 Gates of hell cannot triumph against His church build by Jesus.
 Our faith is uplift after hearing these sermons.
 Everybody would be energized after visiting church.
