Introduction
Industry/Company Background
The project is involved with the setup of a new in the Cambodia. The café is to be
opened near a college so that the students would be able to sit an enjoy their coffee and
perform any type of work that they are required to complete. The organization that is looking
to implement this project is basically a very small sized business organization located at
Cambodia and they are intending to create the project for the students and also obtain an
amount of financial benefits for themselves.
Mission Statement
The main aim for the project is to provide the students with the option to hang out and
relax freely at and place while enjoy some beverage at the same time. The objective of the
project is resolves the issues of the students of not getting sufficient space and cafes at
reasonable prices. The implementation of the project would be able to resolve the issues and
offer the students the beverages a much cheaper rates. The free time for the students would
utilized efficiently by them and also allow the organization earn some benefits from the
business.
Key Performance Indicators
The key performance indicators for the growth and success of the coffee shop which
has been developed are:
Keeping track of the number of hours that the staffs at the shop are required to work
so that their productivity can be measured easily by the owners of the organization.

The cost of the food should also be kept track of by the owner or the person who is
responsible for the monitoring of the system. The personnel responsible for the task
should also be able to keep track of the stocks in the store.
Keeping track of the best-selling and the worst-selling items of the shop would be a
great help in understanding the demands and the taste of the customers.
Keeping track of the total labour cost is also very important in order to minimize the
overflow of the cash for the systems and expense of the company can be kept at a
check.
Performance goals and evaluation points
The main performance goals for the project are:
Customer Satisfaction: It is very important that the main customers who are the students are
kept satisfied at all cost and develop a positive attitude towards the company. The point of
evaluation would be the rate of growth of the number of regular customers to the coffee shop.
An increased number of regular customers to the shop would mean an enhanced reputation
for the organization and the shop.
Employee Satisfaction: The employees or the staffs of the coffee shops are to be kept
satisfied and also some assurance about their job security is to be provided. This is because
the customers who visit the shop on a regular basis would like to have the coffee from the
same staff and this would result in development of an efficient customer relationship
management. The evaluation point for the employee satisfaction would be the number of
years that a particular employee stays in the organization and same goes of the staffs of the
coffee shop.
Revenue Generation: The revenue which is being generated from the project is to be
analysed efficiently as there is to be steady growth in the revenue collected per year for the

organization. The evaluation point here would be increase in the percentage of growth of the
revenue of the shop which is generated every year.
Steady Growth: There has to be a steady growth for the shop in terms of production and sales
of the shop, as this would be helpful in determining the stability of the business that is being
carried out currently. The evaluation point for deciding the steady growth of the of the
business is the increase in the percentage of profit earned which should be more than the
previous year.
Time frame
The time frame of the project has been estimated to be 5 years. As the organization is
a small one and the project is also a small one, it is to be assumed that the project should not
exceed more than 1 million and the time limit of the project should be around six months. In
addition to this, the project should be able to benefit the organization in terms of finance and
hence the NPV and ROI calculations should be positive for the project.

Evaluation
The project which is to be constructed would be undergoing all the phases mentioned
above and hence the project would be benefitted to a great extent and staffs and the other
team members would be able to follow the phases of project very easily as the methodology
is a renowned one.
Personnel
` The main personnel involved in the development of the project are the project
manager, the builders, the staffs, the interior designer and the suppliers. The roles and
responsibilities of the personnel has been described in the table below:
Personnel Roles and Responsibilities
Project Manager The project manager is very important part of the project and plays a
very important role in the development of the project. The project
manager would be responsible from the project initiation phase and
end his role with the project closure phase.
Builders The builders are responsible for the development of the infrastructure
for the project and building the shop and assist in furnishing and
finishing the interiors and shop. They are also responsible for set up
of the shop and manage the other aspects of the infrastructural
development.
Staffs The staffs would be regular employees who would be assigned the
role of making the coffee, serving it to the customers and also
accepting the payment from the customers. Some of them would also
be entrusted with the role of handling the accounts for the business of
the small sized organization.

responsible for the steady supply of ingredients to the shop.

Risk Identification
The identified risks for the project which is to be mitigated for the stability of the
business of the organization described below:
Slips and Falls in Your Coffee Shop: There are risks involving the slips and falls of the
people and the utensils at the coffee shop. There are high chances of spills on the floor which
would be hampering the attractiveness of the furnishes areas. Hence this would affect the
customers’ opinions of the coffee shop.
Injured Customers and Employees: There is a high chance that would be injuries in the
premises from the hot beverages and hence, there are high chances that both the customers
and the employees would be unsatisfied with this.
Risk Mitigation
For the mitigation of the risks in the coffee shop some strategies can be adopted:
It is to be seen that there is safety inspection process included in the maintenance plan
of the project. This would make sure that risks of the customers and the employees
being injured would be reduced to a great extent.
In addition to this, it is to be made sure that there is enough business insurance to back
up the damaged floors. It would ensure that the floors are replaced immediately and
the attractiveness in the shop in maintained.
