The purpose of this report is to discuss on the various objectives and the outcomes of Campaign
350.org. This report aims to reveal the various outcomes that has been achieved by the campaign
as well as the desired outcomes and objectives that Campaign 350.org has.
Outcomes of campaign 350.org
Campaign 350.org is mainly addresses the problems related to the environment and
society. Its fight is against the fossil fuels industry to cut down on its coast and stop all the new
projects related to coal , gas and oil projects. It has launched massive campaigns and mobilized a
large number of volunteers over 188 countries and has caused massive change in the thinking of
the people world wide(O'Brien, 2015). It has brought about change in the society by encouraging
environmental friendly products and views. The amount of awareness it has cause over the social
media is commendable. Its main objective is to fight climate change by bringing about some
change in the society and some major industries. The campaign is building an international
movement against fossil fuels industry so that they are minimized and are replaced by renewable
solutions. Campaign 350.org desired outcome is to cut down on the expenses of the fossil fuels
by reducing their sponsors (Höök and Tang, 2013).
It is due to the efforts of 350.org and other organization that president Obama refused the
Keystone XL on the month of November which is one of the greatest outcomes of the
campaign(Davenport, 2015) “ International Day of Climate Action” was organized by the
350.org campaign on the 24th of October in the year 2009(Klein, 2015). One of the best
