1CANADA REFUGEE AND IMMIGRATION
The aim of this report is to discuss the issues of Canadian policies for the migrants and
refugees. The country has been welcoming always to the immigrates be it the Syrians or the
Americans. As the population of Canada is less than the expected, the country therefore, utilize
the resources of the immigrants properly. However, there are cases of border crossing and arrest
of the refugees in Canada which has enhanced problems of criminal activities in the country.
There are three main reasons why the policy of allowing immigrants and refugees need to
be supported in Canada. First, the Canadian region has a huge prospect in term of business
organizations, mining, logging and other industries but the issues of cheap and skilled labor were
always a problem in Canada. On the other hand. The immigrants in the country of the refugee
people cross the border only to get arrested so that they can enter the country and get the benefits
like the other Canadians (Immigration, 2019). These people stay and work in the asylum
applications and emergency shelters. This gives the refugees to access the healthcare facilities
accessed by the other Canadians and their children are sent to the free schools for education.
These people therefore are used for managing the problems of cheap labor issues in the
industries previously mentioned.
Secondly, due to immigrants and the refugees, country’s cultural and social diversity
enhance. This is due to the reason that the Canadian region has been invaded by the people from
Haiti, Nigeria, US and France. According to the data published by cfr.org (2019), there are
750,000 Muslims living in Canada. Along with this the diversity has been increased by the
Indian Hindus, Catholics and other immigrants from the other cultural and religious background
(Nytimes.com, 2019). However, there are cases of racial issues present in the country which has
affected the integrity of the society but this aspect of cultural diversity has enhanced the
capabilities of the workers making the business more efficient and competent.

Thirdly, the conception that the average Canadian might have about newcomers is
completely wrong. The economic support through the business investments or the guest worker
programs present in the country, are hugely focused on the immigrants from other nations into
Canada. As mentioned in Cfr.org (2019), the majority of these immigrants come from different
states of Asia, Africa, US and Britain, who come to the country for business investment or
support a business through their higher level of education, job experiences as well as language
skills.
All of these factors positively support the growth therefore, the government must
determine whether there will be any changes in the immigration policies so that the security of
the country is not hampered (Samuel, 2019). In order to gain more knowledge about the
conception, the issues related to refugees and immigrants of the other nations like US and Britain
can be discussed. However, there is still the question lingers that whether the actual residents of
Canada are getting deprived for these immigration policies of Canada.
