Various criticism has been made earlier regarding telecommunication sector in
Canada, specifically on wireless services that Canadians pay more than other countries for
poor quality service. However, CRTC’s and government interventions in the recent years has
been able to promote much competition in Canada’s business environment. The telecom
business reports of Canada reveal that Canadians are listed among biggest consumers dealing
in telecommunications service globally which indicates they like competition and quality
service (Masse & Beaudry, 2017).
Policy and regulations show that many transitions made by government is apparent in
future years within Canada in comparison to Mexico for which Phonetask may require to
prepare eventually for change of priorities in this sector (Valenzuela, 2016). Moreover,
economic and political stability in Canada brings much needed efficiency in financial market
that can make availability of funds in equity market to make global expansion hastily. The
government role in Mexico has always remain complex thereby impacting quick
progressions. Although Canada’s regulatory and policies also shows few complexities but,
the governmental role in policy setting for enhanced business environment especially in
telecom sector seems much remarkable.
Considering economic factors, Mexico is classified as upper-middle-income level by
World Bank similar to that of Canada. But the emphasis given by Canadian government
towards trade diversification, support for new businesses and export promotions shows new
investment opportunities sustained with solid institutional foundations (The Heritage
Foundation, 2019). Moreover, the skilled workforce present in Canadian market can leverage
skilled employees that might help in developing Phonetask business effectively in Canada.
Being a Canadian, it can be suggested that Canada has greater prospects for telecom investors
as consumers over there actually provides benefits for providing efficient and advanced
broadband and telecommunication service.
