AI Summary
This report, based on the LBR7457 assignment, evaluates interpretations, conclusions, and recommendations related to cancer deaths. It analyzes data from the World Health Organization and the Global Burden of Disease Study, focusing on cancer incidence, mortality rates, and the impact on different age groups and genders. The report highlights key cancer diseases contributing to mortality, such as mesothelioma, multiple myeloma, and various forms of cancer affecting specific age brackets. It examines the strengths and weaknesses of current approaches like diet and exercise, reproduces and explains a relevant figure, and discusses resource opportunities and constraints for improving enquiry methodology and data interpretation. The analysis emphasizes the overlapping of data in the provided document and how it impacts interpretation. The report references key publications like the JAMA Oncology article and the work of Pernar et al. to support its findings.

This template should be used in conjunction with the Assignment Brief on Moodle and with reference to the Postgraduate
Assessment Regulations 20.
Patch 3: Evaluate the interpretations made, the conclusions reached and the recommendations made in the light of the
data gathered.
You must reproduce and explain at least one of the tables/graphs in your presentation.
You should also consider the resource opportunities and resource constraints on your recommended improvements to the
enquiry methodology and interpretations.

issue or dilemma
The topic which will be discussed in this
section is on cancer deaths.
As per World Health organisation, cancer is one
of the primary reasons for increased mortality
rates around the world and within that breast
cancer affects more than 20% of adult women
around the globe (Pernar et al. 2018).

for both the genders in the year 2016.
Specifically, the age group of 65 to 95 plus
faces the highest incidence of cancer and
higher incidence of cancer death rates.

forms of leukaemia are the high death
causing cancer rates for the teenagers. For
the childhood cancers that are aged
between the 0 to 19 years, the most
common cancer and cancer deaths are
from the nervous and brain system cancer,
and the acute lymphoid leukaemia. For the
young adults and the adolescents, the
most common form of cancer that occurs
globally was cervical cancer and breast
cancer. The main causes that lead to the
cause of the cancer death are the non-
Hodgkin lymphoma, nervous system and
brain cancer. The population that are aged
more than 39 years and the cancers that
have the highest incidence of cancers are
the colorectal cancer, prostrate, breast
and TBL. Whereas, the main contributors
of the cancer deaths are the stomach
cancer, colorectal cancer, TBL.

eliminate toxins from the body and

The article by Pernaret al. (2018) was able to
point out all the intervention and its strengths
and weaknesses properly.
Which table(s)/graph(s)
will be reproduced in
your presentation?
What do they show?
The Figure one of the provided article has
been taken which discusses about the
increased death rates due to multiple
cancers which affects people of different
age group.

What are the resource
opportunities and
resource constraints on
your recommended
improvements to the
enquiry methodology
and interpretations?
In this interpretation, the data were
presented in a manner, in which all the
cancer data and rates overlapped and
hence, interpretation of the data gets
affected.
It has been mentioned in the document
provided.
