Breast cancer:
Breast cancer is caused mostly due to the lifestyle of an individual. The risk factor
involved are drinking alcohol, obesity, physically inactive, consumption of birth control pills,
breast implant and hormone therapy conducted for menopause or due to other medication.
Improper diet and age. Women who are not able to breastfeed their child because either they
have no child or due to other complication have higher risk of breast cancer.
Strategies to prevent breast cancer are, moderate physical activity, avoid alcohol, healthy
diet and lower consumption of hormonal medicine (Cancer.org, 2019).
Colorectal cancer:
The risk factor involved in the occurrence of colorectal cancer are, obesity, physical
inactivity, unhealthy diet such as red meats, smoking, excessive consumption of alcohol, age (as
most common in older individual), past medical history of bowel disease, family medical
history, diabetes and personal life style.
The prevention strategies are, controlling weight, intake of healthy diet, avoid smoking
and drinking, avoids NSAIDs, and hormone replacement therapy (Cancer.org, 2019).
Prostate cancer:
The risk factor includes, age, race, ethnicity, geography, family medical history, gene
alteration, diet, obesity, smoking, chemical exposure, inflammation, vasectomy and sexually
transmitted infections.
The prevention strategies are, physical activity, body weight, diet containing mineral,
vitamin, and other supplements, avoid certain medicine such as aspirin (Cancer.org, 2019).

The risk factor includes, tobacco smoking, radon exposure, asbestos exposure and
exposure to carcinogens at workplace. High level of arsenic in drinking water, dietary
supplements, radiation therapy is also responsible for lung cancer.
The prevention strategies are, avoid smoking tobacco, avoid radon, asbestos, healthy diet
and exposure to carcinogens (Cancer.org, 2019).
Skin cancer:
There are five types of skin cancer. The risk factor includes, ultraviolet exposure, light
colored skin, age, and gender, exposure to chemicals, radiation, skin inflammation, previous
medical history and weak immune system.
The prevention strategies, limit ultraviolet strategies, avoiding harmful chemicals, regular
skin evaluation, no smoking and strengthening immune system (Cancer.org, 2019).
