Canterbury is the historic place and it is most famous tourist spot in which most
of the tourist visit there due to its outstanding look which drives the most tourist
attention to visit the place again and again.
It has been European pilgrimage site of huge significant for over 800 years since
the killing of Archbishop Thomas Becket in the year 1170.
UNESCO has enabled world heritage status to part of city which includes the St
Martin's Church.
Canterbury as the city have the origins in Roman settlement of Durovernum
cantiacorum, it was established in first century AD after Roman incursion of 43
AD. The name taken from cantiaci tribe which inhabits the arena at time of
Roman invasion. (Melvin, Langdon and Murphy, 2020)
