Car Rental App Design Solutions

This document presents design solutions for a car rental application, focusing on key features such as login/signup, filtering, and social media integration. The initial design priority is the login and signup page, aiming for ease of use with minimal fields. The application includes a checkbox for users to select car types and a date selection feature that prevents users from selecting invalid dates. The login and signup are combined on the same page for user convenience. A filter section allows users to refine vehicle searches by price, type, year, make, and features. The application also offers social login options via Facebook and Google, streamlining the signup process and providing user data to the admin.

Solution 4
To do this complete application my first design priority is the design of login
and signup page because in this application user can only book a car after
login or sign up with valid credentials. If these page are easy to use more
and more users will connect with us like for sign up of a new user we just
want his basic information that why we put less number of fields if we put a
larger form with many number of fields user find it is a waste of time to fill
that form. Another functionality is that we put a check box to know from the
user while booking for a car that he wants the car from a registered
company or from any any individual car or both, because many of the user
prefers a certain type of car so they can select from this check box, if a
user does not care about the type of car and he is comfortable with both
type of car than he can select both the check box. While we done the user
testing of this functionality we have to take care of that there will be
different data come for the different checkbox.
Another functionality of priority is that while booking a car for rent and filling
the column for from date and till date, while user select the from date he
can’t able to select the previous date from the current date and while
selecting the till date user can’t able to select date previous date of
selected from date in that way user will not do any mistake in terms of date.

Solution 5
I decide to make the login and signup on same page and differ by the
section. As my landing page will be login/signup page I decided to made
these in sections on the same page because there will be two type of user
that will visit the application the user who are already registered and users
who visit first time so it will be useful for both type of user. The new user
will go to the signup section and already user will go to the login section
and both type of user can access the application without switching the
webpage.
Design of the filter section on the left side of the list of vehicle page, by the
help of this filter section user can filter the vehicle data on the basis of
price, vehicle type, vehicle year, vehicle make and vehicle feature. There
can be large amount of data present on the page so in this way after
filtering the data user will see only the list of vehicle that has been desired
by the user.
When user fill the form to book a car there are to date column filled by the
user so whenever user will click on date column a calendar will pop up and
from that calendar user can select date. It will definitely improve the
usability of the user because in that way always a correct and desired form
of date will get in the form and user is not restricted to fill the date column in
prescribed form.

Solution 6
There are buttons provided in the both sections login and signup to login
from your facebook or google accounts. It is most interesting and latest
feature of this application from the perspective of interaction and user
friendly technique. Most of the new user who want to access the
application will feel comfortable to login from their facebook or google
account because in this way they does not have to fill their details in the
signup form to access the application only they have to login from any of
their social account with valid credentials and they can now access the
application and from the perspective of the functionality it does help the
admin because when a user will login from its social account all the basic
details of the user will be given to the application by that particular social
site. In that way user will kept its all the basic detail in that social account
and whenever he want to login on to another application he can login from
his social account and that social account will give the details to that
particular application and application will store the user information and he
does not have to give details repeatedly on every application.
