Objective: The objective of the project is to start a new venture named CardioHealth in order to
provide proper facility of ECG services as it is found that some of the heart disease generally
have high probability of diagnosis with the help of Machine learning algorithm.
Scope: The scope of the project includes:
Application development that can read digital signals from ECG device for properly
reflecting as well as sending data within cloud
Setting up 20 ECG based data collection centres
Setting up SaaS on the cloud
Development of proper mobile application
Assumptions: The assumptions are:
It is assumed that with the help of CardioHealth, proper facility of ECG will be provided
to the patients and in addition to this proper reading application will also be used data
from ECG in order to send data on cloud.
The project manager makes an assumption that the project will commence on 1st January
2020 and will get accomplished by 31st December 2020.
Cost: The project requires budget of around $10,42,000 in order to develop the CardioHealth
quite successfully.
Schedule: The CardioHealth project requires 1 year of time and it is found that entire work
associated with the project gets completed by 31st December 2020.

2. Description of life cycle phases
The life cycle of the project generally describes the procedures for effectively deliverying
the project work quite effectively. The entire cycle of CardioHealth development mainly broken
into four different phases that are elaborated below:
Initiation: The project manager develops business case and helps in undertaking cost
benefit analysis so that ROI and NPV will be calculated quite successfully. Additionally, the
project charter is created that includes all project details and further assists in team member’s
appointment (Kerzner 2017).
Planning: During this phase, the larger parts of the project is broken into smaller parts by
making sure that the project is achievable within the assumed timeframe. The project manager
helps in the creation of project plan, developing workflow diagrams and further assists in
estimating the budget of the project.
Execution: For CardioHealth project, an application for reading the data from ECG is
developed that further assists in displaying as well as sending data on cloud. In addition to this,
machine learning as well as data mining application is also developed. Moreover, mobile
application is developed for informing the doctors about the test and for displaying the data of
ECG (Martens and Carvalho 2017).
Closure: In the last phase, review is done for ensuring that all activities of the project are
carried out successfully so that the work related with project generally gets accomplished on
time. Furthermore, stakeholder signoff and documentation are also done within this phase
