This report analyzes data related to complaints received by three care homes. Key trend and patterns in data
From data it can be analysed that there is change in its patter. It means for practices such
as family visit there were more complaints as compared to those practices which are followed in
care home. Besides that, ratio of agree and disagree was high as many participants preferred
negative option in it. thus, trend gets shifted towards negative options as compared to positive
one. In addition, now in care home there has emerged new trend that is of other facilities apart
from health care services that is room temperature, bed, activities, etc. thus, this resulted in rise
in complaints in it. so, due to it there is change in change in pattern as well. However, if these
facilities are not proper then people disagree with it.
Compare complaint data with resident data
By comparing data it is analysed that in both volume differs. This means that number of
resident in both vary to a great extent. Moreover, some additional practices are also added into
complaint data which is not included in resident one. It has resulted in bringing difference in
percentage in it.

From above table and chart it is evaluated that are many best practices which is followed
within care home. It is stated that staff are kind to residents and competent enough. They
interact in kind manner. Also, many agree and strongly agree that access to nurse and doctor is
easy. They are able to directly approach to them as there are no barriers in it. also, beds
provided in care homes are comfortable. It allows people to sleep well. the condition of bed is
maintained as well. it is because agreed that beds are comfortable. Moreover, another best
practice is room temperature in care home is good. Many participants agreed and strongly agreed
with it. likewise, in care home effective practice area is all facilities are clean and safe. Here, as
well many of them agreed and strongly agreed with this. The facilities remain cleaned regularly
by nurse and staff. Thus, these all are effective areas within all 3 care homes.

provided late. Whereas no data is of bramble lane. Thus, management needs to take action in it
so that meals are delivered in time.

Here, the meal provided is of poor quality. This can be identified from data as there are large
number of complaints regarding poor quality meals in 3 care homes.

From above graph it is evaluated that action is needed in this area. There were many complaints
regarding poor quality bathroom cleaning in all 3 care homes. Hence, this practice require
improvement in it.

This is areas which require strict management action to be taken. Here, it is found that in all 3
care homes there are large number of complaints regarding lack of family visit. The people are
not able to meet their family members in care homes.
Areas of data limitations
It can be identified that there are certain limitation of data both in volume and
collections. So, due to that it becomes difficult to make graphs and table. Here first of all in
many practice or question data is black. It is written NA in it. similarly, in bramble lane car
home data of some complaints shows record not kept. So, data is not collected properly and in
systematic way. Here, another data limitation is volume of data is not specified. It means total
how many respondent data is gathered is not been mentioned. Hence, it limits in analyzing
graphs and tables as total volume of data is not described in it. due to that it is difficult to do
analysis of data.
