Introduction
This is a career action plan that is reflective in nature. This plan will reflect my abilities and
strengths that will help me to induce the employers to offer me a job in their organisation. The
plan will also help me to analyze my skills and knowledge so that I can have personal and
professional development for my future. The plan will also present my Curriculum Vitae which
is very important to get employed in an organisation. This career action plan will throw light on
the areas where I lag behind and will assist me in having self-development. The action plan is a
time-based career plan that will focus on the resources that will help me in improving myself.
The time scales are useful to make sure that the development is done in a shorter duration of
time.

Personal analysis
Personal analysis is helpful for a person to have continuous review of the skills and knowledge
that an individual possesses. Personal analysis is done to find out the areas or skills that are
lacking in an individual and which need to be improved for the development. Personal analysis
also assists in having professional and personal development of a person. I have also analyzed
my skills and abilities to know my standing and the skills that are important for me to possess to
get employed in an organisation. A CW activity was conducted in the class, and that was very
helpful for me to analyze my skills and capabilities. As per the work mask graph prepared in the
CW activity, I am a very flexible person. I can adjust myself according to the situation. This is a
very vital skill to be in an organisation as there are lots of changes that take place in an
organisation and the employees of the organisation must be adaptive in nature to get adjusted and
accept the changes that are implemented in the company. I have high energy for my work and the
duties that I need to fulfil. To work in a company, enthusiasm is significant, and in my view, I
have that zeal to learn new things and complete my work with great enthusiasm. I am an
opinionated person and have strong opinions. I do not hesitate to keep my viewpoints if I am
correct or I think that my suggestions can make things better.
One more quality that I have is that I am an independent person and like to take my decisions on
my own. As per the behavioural graph, I act in a stubborn way in pressurizing situations, but
still, I can discharge my duties very well. This is because of my ability to take independent
decisions. I am a motivated person, and I have high social needs. I get motivated by power,
authority and prestige. Monetary rewards do not attract me so much as the non-financial rewards
do. It is a part of my personality that I get affected by the words of others. I am a strong-willed

person. I worked in an organisation and in that organisation, I had proved myself to be efficient
to carry out all the responsibilities and provide good results to the company. This was possible as
I can say that I am a goal-oriented person. I perform well when relevant goals are set in advance.
Goals motivate me to achieve them in the stipulated time period. My self-confidence helps me to
stay positive and optimistic in every situation. In my job profile also, I used to analyze the cause
and effect relationship in every situation and then find out the best solution to come out of the
adverse business situation. I have a quality of motivating others as well. I can influence people
very easily and induce them to work well to achieve the targets. This is also important in an
organisation so that there are collective efforts to attain the overall organizational objectives.
Challenges attract me. I love to face new challenges in my life as well as the workplace.
Challenges act as a motivator for me to prove myself and my capabilities. I know that in a
company there are various challenges which are faced by the employees they can be related to
technology, employee relations or other works related challenges. I can be sure that I can manage
myself in every situation and face every challenge that comes my way.
Talking about the areas of my improvement and skills that I need to possess to enhance, the key
capability that I need to have is to trust people. The CW activity also suggested that I do not trust
people and this creates difficulty in the delegation of work (Graham, et. al., 2015). This keeps me
in pressure to complete all the work on my own which is sometimes very difficult. My quality of
independence sometimes proves unfavourable for me as I always want to take my decisions and I
hardly rely on decisions taken by others. This can be a minus point when I will work in an
organisation. I have already faced some issues due to this. I will work hard on this and try to
improve myself in this particular area (Guinot and Chiva, 2019). I need to work on my

aggressiveness too. I am good at interacting with others verbally, but I think I need to improve
on my writing skills as writing skills are very vital to work in an organisation (Vurdien, 2013).
Most of the communication and exchange of information takes place in the written form in a
company as it is a proof of communication, so I have to enhance my writing skills. As I state
above that I am an independent person so also impacts my thinking about supervision. I cannot
work in close supervision. There are some employers who constantly monitor the activities of the
employees. This demotivates me and makes me nervous. I cannot work in such an environment. I
know that supervision of employees is necessary to track their progress, but this can be done in
the limit as to when someone is constantly keeping a watch, the confidence level goes down, and
the work cannot be completed. This personality attribute sometimes seems to be rebellious to
others which are not really the case.

person. As I have analyzed the skills and competencies that I need to improve, I have also
developed a career action plan for myself so that the employers offer me a job in their company.

Conclusion
The career action plan concluded that self-assessment is significant so that personal qualities and
abilities can be known. Very body studies and makes efforts to get employed in a big company to
have self-employment. For all these objectives, it is equally important that people have
knowledge about their own skills and capabilities that can allow them to attain their objectives. I
conducted a self-analysis, and my CW activity also helped to find out my potentials and the
potential skills that I can have to effectively attain my future goals. The self-assessment made me
understands that I am a capable person and can work effectively in a company. I am optimistic
and goal oriented. My social needs are the best motivators for me. I need to improve my
effective writing skills. I have to learn to trust people for better delegation of work. I need to
control my anger and impatience level as they are not tolerated in any organisation. The career
action plan would act as a guideline for me so that I can have personal as well as professional
skills development.
