INTRODUCTION
The development of the career is important for individual which helps in growth &
development of oneself capabilities. The career action plan defines to road map which helps in
guiding person. It is a dynamic planning document which is owned and managed by people
having intention of reflecting their increase career development learning. The career action plan
helps in professional goals and steps for achieving them (Homsey, B.O., 2021). Whereas self-
reflection refers to personal reflection which takes time to think about, mediate, evaluating and
providing thoughts to behaviours, motivators and desires. It is an ability of evaluating our own
cognitive, emotional and behavioural processes. The report will discuss personal analysis for
assessing the strength and areas of development. Further, there is development of career action
plan in order to have improvement and development of skills in selected retail industry of
TESCO. At the last, CV profile is developed.
MAIN BODY
Personal Analysis
The personal analysis refers to evaluation of current capabilities by having understanding
of strength, weakness, opportunities and threats which helps in planning for career success. It is
critical to determine one's own talents and competences, which necessitates the use of a SWOT
analysis that can help an individual in personal development. From the CWI the professional
area is Human resources which involves career field of recruiting and staffing. For developing
my career in retail industry, I have learned and studied several skills in relation to human
Resources by gaining knowledge, skills and concepts (Mattingly, A.N. and et.al., 2020). The
recruitment and staffing is the professional area which is growing in human sector and
companies look specialization in order to have appropriate ability of correct skills possess by
employees at right job. In order to develop my career in field of recruitment and staffing I
analyses that there is need for developing and improving of some skills which are as follows-
Communication skills- I have strength of this skill which helps me in communicating
through variety of different channels which is an essential skill for recruiters. By having
these skills, it helps me in communicating clearly and concisely with both individual
candidates and co-workers. The use of this skill enables me in passing information to

other people. Having these skills helps me in communicating appropriately with
candidates by ensuring positive relationship with candidates.
Reporting skills- The reporting skills is weakness for me in the professional area of
recruiting and staffing which defines the ability of helping professionals in writing
reports and brief documents. There are several writing careers such as reporters, authors
which is applicable for several jobs. This skill involves writing, editing and researching. I
want to develop this skill for creating an impressive report with clear and meaningful
content. By developing this skill, it will help in assessing job candidates, recruitment
activities (Moses, M.P., 2021).
Team working skills- This skill is an opportunity for me as I can work in group together
with team members to attain the common goal. The team player always prioritises the
goals of team over individual interests. by having this I can communicate effectively
along with problems can be solved in relation to recruiting and staffing. This skill also
helps in collaboration with other members. This skill is important in recruitment as it
provides understanding of individual work along with work environment that will suit to
them.
Technical skills- This skill is threat for me as technical skill is required for hiring high
technical positions. This skill is required by me for working on the technical applications
such as HRIS, performance management platforms etc. by developing this skill it will
help me in hiring decisions in overall recruitment process as this involves the working on
technology. It involves the use of certain tools and technologies in the field of
recruitment and staffing (Shaito, F., 2019.).
Leadership skills- This skill is weakness for me as to lead any project it requires to
motivate others in order to complete task in accordance to schedule. I want to develop
this skill as it will help me in aligning the team goals with company goals. It is an ability
to lead and deliver projects, encouraging initiatives and empowers others. This skill will
help me fostering positive recruiting culture along with helps in updating recruitment
strategy.
Listening skills- This skill is opportunity for me as I am able to understand the problem
by effective listening, that helps me knowing the actual wants of co-workers and
candidates. This skill helps me in having valuable information than any other tactic which
