INTRODUCTION
The concept of career action plan is considered as a major perspective of an individual
for the purpose of meeting and accomplishing different goals and objectives in a particular
period of time that are associated with career. Within academic life, career action plan play a
great role through developing a wide number of opportunities which are significant for growth of
career. Within academic as well as professional life, it becomes very crucial for an individual to
consider career action plan in an effective and precise manner in order to get success in career
related life (Homsey, 2021). This report is based on the preparation of a professional CV as well
as LinkedIn profile for assisting career of a person. In this report, there will be a critical personal
analysis of major strengths and weaknesses of own. On the basis of CW1 project, the job
opportunity identified is digital marketing and skills required for it includes technical skills,
creativity skills, critical and analytical thinking skills, advertising skills, decision-making skills
and many more.
MAIN BODY
Personal Analysis
Within academic life, it is very significant for an individual for performing personal
analysis for the purpose of attaining targets and aims of the business. I am individually interested
in the digital marketing of an organisation in order to evolve it on a large scale. As per my
understanding, there is greater responsibility of an individual to develop and improve a wide
number of skills and the base of knowledge regarding the digital marketing for the growth as
well as development process. I self get stimulate from the Tesco digital marketing manager as
the personnel can manage its business transactions in various countries through the process of
digitalisation (Jemini-Gashi, Duraku and Kelmendi, 2021). I understand that digital marketing
manager of Tesco has faced a lot of challenges as well as opportunities that is why it becomes
typical for a digital marketing manager to manage all tasks and activities through the process of
digitalisation.
Currently, I have effective communication skills, decision-making skills, creativity skills,
critical and analytical thinking skills, time management skills and many more. I am also having
some sort of knowledge regarding the practices of digital marketing within an organisation. As
per my understandings, digital marketing provide assistance to a business in conducting

communication with strangers and taking participation in academic activities like debate, etc. I
am creative at work and there the this kind of skill will help me in case if I choose digital
marketing sector. The development of these skills are all my strength which helps me in gaining
competitive advantage over my competitor (Kauffeld, Güntner and Ebner, 2022). However, I am
lacking behind in team-working skills, leadership skills, problem-solving skills, managerial
skills, etc. due to which these skills may be threat for me in my future course of period. These
skills are my weaknesses which will create barriers for me in achieving my short-term and long-
term objectives. These weaknesses are the areas on which I am required to focus on for my
personal development. My SWOT Analysis is given as below:

bound. I have also set SMART objectives which would facilitate me in improving and
developing different skills and capabilities. SMART objectives for developing and improving
different skills and abilities is given as follows:
Specific: According to such factor, I have the objective of developing a wide variety of skills
and capabilities such as leadership skills, problem-solving skills, managerial skills, etc (Peila-
Shuster, Tandy and Gonzalez-Voller, 2021). The development of these skills would assist me in
evolving my capabilities to do a specific task.
Measurable: As per this factor, I would measure my specific objectives through assessments,
past experiences which are gained by me. On the basis of assessment, I can measure my
performance regarding development of skills that whether I am going in the appropriate direction
or not. I would develop and improve all the skills in which I am lacking within 4 weeks and for
doing so, I would complete my assignments and attend semesters, workshops and many other.
Achievable: As per this factor, I will make so much efforts by joining workshops, semesters and
many more. I would also watch online videos and join campaigns for developing and improving
team working skills. I would develop and improve my all of these skills within 4 weeks and after
that I would join at least 4 campaigns which will help me in development of team-working,
problem-solving and leadership skills.
Realistic: This is last but not the least factor of SMART objectives and according to such factor
I would be able to develop as well as improve team-working skills, leadership skills, problem-
solving skills, etc. It would really provide assistance to me in attaining success within my career
effectively and efficiently.
Time Bound: This is the end of SMART objectives and here, I am defining the time frame in
which I would develop and improve all of the skills in which I was lacking (Walker‐Donnelly,
Scott and Cawthon, 2019). I have set a period of 4 weeks for the purpose of developing such
skills within me in a precise and effective manner.
