Question 1:
I have been privileged to participate in the Clifton strengths survey and a group coaching
session with our success coach (Gallup Strengths Center, 2017). These activities help me to
identify my strengths through the survey. Before participating in this survey I was not sure about
my strengths. I did not have any clear idea about strengths. Clifton strengths survey help me to
understand what I was good at and how it could be leveraged in a generative way. Futuristic,
significance, strategic, individualization and belief are my strengths. After this course, I am sure
that identifying my top strengths will be beneficial for me. So it can be said that I have learned
about my strengths. It will help me in future to manage challenges and achieve objectives.
Question 2:
Participation in the Clifton strengths survey has helped me to identify my top five
strengths which are futuristic, significance, strategic, individualization and belief (Sigetich &
Leavitt, 2008). I had an idea that futuristic, significance, strategic and individualization are my
strengths. However, I do not have any idea of belief. Before participating in the Clifton strengths
survey, I do not have a belief. However, after participating in this survey, it made more sense. By
providing answers to the list of question about myself I realised that belief is one of my hidden
strengths (Sigetich & Leavitt, 2008). I am surprised after finding belief as my strength. The
reason for which I am surprised is I was pretty clueless about this strength. I was not surprised
about four out of five of my strengths. The reason for that is I utilised these strengths whenever
needed. But, I do not have any clue that belief can be one of my strengths.

Question 3:
When I read about my top five strengths, futuristic is the strength, which I immediately
resonated with. I started questioning myself more about it. I have found that I am futuristic
because I look into the future a lot. However, the future has the ability to inspire me. I have the
ability to inspire others with my futuristic vision. From my childhood, I love to spend time with
visionaries. It not only inspires me to do my best but also provide energy to perform better. The
reason for which I immediately resonated with the strength ‘futuristic’ is till now I spend my life
being futuristic. It motivates me. It inspires me. It gives me a reason to perform better and make
it futuristic vision true. So it is easy for me to relate to this issue. I had an idea that it can be one
of my strength. The result of Clifton strengths survey has helped me believe that futuristic, which
is my strength, can be useful for me in future (Gallup Strengths Center. 2017).
Question 4:
Whether knowing my strengths will help me to ensure professional development or not
will be discussed in this part. Participating in the Clifton strengths survey helps me to understand
my strengths which can be useful for professional development identifying your strengths can
provide you with a better understanding of yourself and how you function (Gallup Strengths
Center, 2018). It can help me to stay in a lot of things. For professional development, I can utilise
mice strengths. Knowing my strains can help me to fix a higher goal and achieve much more. It
will help me to identify new opportunities and focus on the positive aspects. So it can be said
that for my professional development if I utilise my strengths which are futuristic, significance,
strategic, individualization and belief then I can boost my professional development.

Question 5:
To reach my career goals in future, I may face certain challenges, which I have to
manage. The first challenge is I may set my career goals based on 'what' and 'when' and define it
as my goal. However, to achieve the career goal, there are two important things, which are 'why'
and 'how'. Without focusing on these two features, it will be difficult to achieve a career goal.
From my top five strengths, 'strategic' and 'futuristic' as the strength will help me to solve this
problem. It will help me to find the answer to 'how' and 'why'. The second challenge which I may
face is the lack of belief issue. Whether I can achieve a specific career goal or not is an important
question. I may doubt my ability and strengths. However, it can be said that 'belief' as a strength
can help me to solve this problem.
