Introduction
(Currently, I am working as a Chef in the London Watch House Company. I have been working as a
chef under this company from last 3 years. The major responsibilities that I carry out in my job
includes gathering information about various types of recipes and a constantly learn to develop
them for the customers in order to provide them with a new taste and increase the customer
engagement of the brand. I have completed my studies and got graduated from my own country
i.e., The Dominican Republic. However, my aim is to get high end job such as the position of a
General Manager in one the leading and premium quality companies in the London. Also,
according to my plan, I want to be at a leading position in the coming 5 years.)

Skills that I need to develop to meet my target
It has been determined that in order to be a General Manager of a High end company in London, there are certain roles and
responsibilities that I should be able to accomplish.
• The roles and responsibilities include keeping an eye on the routine business operations of the company and formulating
strategies which could be used for the growth and development of the organization.
• To determine the quality of work conducted by workforce, determine the ones that requires training and provide them with
sufficient training and development programs.
• Development of budgets, and increasing the sales of the enterprise.
• Retaining the existing talent as well as timely hiring the new talent.
• Examination of the financial information and take steps in order to enhance the productivity of the company.
In order to carry out these roles and responsibilities, there should development of certain skills which can be found helpful in
meeting these requirements, they are:

• It has been determined that there are several skills that already exists within myself in order to
acquire a position of General Manager with a high end and premium multinational company
situated in London.
• The skills that already exists within myself includes enhanced organization skills, creative
thinking skills, ability to manage several tasks at single time i.e., ability to multitask and carry
out several functions at the same time and ability grasp new things faster and easily adapt to
the necessary changes in order to improve one’s own self and increase the potential and
capabilities of myself.
• However, I have come to an understanding that in order to gain a position of General Manager
within a reputed company, there are certain skills which I don’t have in myself, they are, an
understanding towards the financial statements of the company, effective communications
skills, lack of leadership qualities, problem solving and development of analytical skills.
• I will try to gain an understanding and development of the above stated skills but I will try to
determine more of such skills which can be useful in the overall development of an individual
as well as support me as I switch my career. These skills will include development of decision
making skills, motivational skills listening and problem solving skills, ability to work
collaboratively in teams and developing the flexibility to be open to feedbacks. These skills
will be helpful for me as I aim to acquire a position within reputed organizations.

important skill found is the communication skills. Moreover, it includes an action plan
that states the methods through which communication can be enhanced.
