There are mainly two important points that needs to be considered
Development of self-awareness - It is quite important to perform the
SWOT analysis of our own self in order to know the strength,
weakness, opportunities and threats factors and working on it
significantly. Furthermore, by determining the strength factor, it is
important to overcome the weaknesses, which can be done by
training, support of the managers and learning. It is also important
to overcome the threat factors being identified in SWOT analysis by
highlighting the opportunities. Additionally, the focus should be
made on learning styles for self-development. In this regards, the
KOLB cycle of learning proves to be very effective and is as
follows:

Skills to develop – It is also essential to comprehend and
determine the types of skills to be developed for perfect
career development plan. Soon, after carrying out personal
SWOT analysis, it is vital to develop skills like,
communication, time management skills, stress handling
techniques, managing the work pressure as well as stress and
technological skills. After determining the types of skills to
be developed, it is necessary to go through a career
development plan in order to upgrade with the needed skills
and competencies in an effective way.
