INTRODUCTION
Career management is collection of structured planning and contains active choice to
professional career (Burland, 2021). It includes the term such as career planning, development on
personal or organisational level. Career planning is the process of identifying our own skills,
talents, values and interest into a possible job requirement or to existing job. Deciding the career
plan helps in motivation factor and removes the hurdles in between. Planning for career is major
and curious step which defines the direction of professional life individual will have. This term
involves the self evaluation, exploring the different aspects of career options and analysing the
way to follow right track. This career planning helps in figuring out about the professional path
to follow and can help in avoiding the time wastage to enter suitable profile. Through the career
formation process, individual can take proper trainings and educational qualifications that would
help in their career. With this planning, individual feel more confident about their career growth
that has been made before on the basis of tier skills and interest.
Personal development is combination of activities that help in developing the capabilities
and competencies of human behaviour and improves the chances of employment in future. This
term consists of self motivation, desire or willingness to more improvement (Cirtita-Buzoianu,
Cojocariu and Mares, 2020). There are various types of job opportunities available in the market
by large organisation and medium as well in UK. Personal development and career development
is must factor to grab these job opportunities in market and make them differentiate from others.
Curriculum Vitae is short document contains the information regarding the person's
career, qualifications, and education. This is document is necessary for the job placement and for
the job applicants to apply for specific position. This report includes the well specified personal
statement in support of work experience in organisation Pizza Express based in UK. This report
also includes the self analysis with the help of swot and development plan to be needed after
analysing my weaknesses and threats. It also evaluates the goals for my persona development
with support of resources to my PPD. At last it have explain the benefits of various job portals
available in UK country.
Before I have worked as waiter assistant at Mattia Diner, Castleford, England for
duration of 11 months in the year 2017 to 2018. After that I have worked as personal shopper in

Ocado CFC, Hatfield for two year march 2019 to 2021. Then I have been working in Pizza
Express company from 2022 to present on a designation of Manager on duty.
Now I am looking for the post of professional restaurant manager with the abilities of
leading team and with motive of improving the customer services of company. While searching
for specified job, some portals recommends me about the hiring of hotel general manager in
Britannia Hotels UK from the Caterer job portal (Lejeune, Beausaert and Raemdonck, 2021).
Britannia hotels is the group of 61 hotels across country and have head quarters in Hale,
Greater Manchester, England. Britannia hotels were founded in the year 1976 by Alex Langsam,
he was the largest shareholder and the CEO of these hotel lines.
This hotel is famous and well established and despite of COVID 19 situation company
still manages to survive and expand his business to national level with 60 plus franchises. It also
provides the best growth opportunities to its employees and that is the main reason I have chose
this hotel for my future job.
My career objective is to get a professional manager job in hotel from which I can use my
skills and knowledge to create meaning to the business and could lead a large number of
employees under my supervision.

Personal statement
As working in Pizza Express on designation of Manager on duty has many
responsibilities such as developing weekly key performance indicator targets, motivating staff
members and giving incentives to members to make them achieve target set. ,and skills
requirement such as self motivation, own abilities and knowledge (de Macedo, 2020). There are
number of skills and capabilities that I have developed and beneficial for my professional
growth. At this work place my skills helps me in good communication strategies and help in
creating strong relationship between customers and executives of company. This improves the
effective customer service to their clients and according to their need. At this post in Pizza
Express helps me in regular assessing, updating and make improvements in their customer
policies for developing the hotel industry (Guo, Wang and Wang, 2021). This will also includes
the monitoring employees and their performance to make relevant changes in strategies. With the

post of Manager on duty it was my responsibility to set the targets and communicate the
priorities set to other staff and ensures the success.
Before I have also a work experience as waiter for two years and after that I applied for the
manager job in restaurant. In applying for this job, my experience as waiter had important role to
play in getting job of manager at Pizza Express. There are number of skills such as
communication, problem solving skill in my own helps in improving my personality and so
effective to attract customers towards the company. In between the process of developing
capabilities which help in increasing my personality. I have main goal of having my own
restaurant in UK.
I have applied for this job because of my hotel management experience before. Now I have
applied for the post of general manager at Britannia hotels and in past I have experience of
restaurant manager (Holtschlag and et. al., 2020). With the help of generic skill such as
communication team working, problem solving and digital technology at my job designation.
With these concepts of hotel management I have gained the knowledge and understanding
regarding to perform the tasks and responsibilities related to that post. Personally I have various
skills and good competency level which makes me more effective and efficient in this field. And
I like to interact with different kind of people and customers regarding their need and
expectations from the hotel or restaurant and make relevant changes accordingly.
Being an adult, I have many expectations from my professional career life and want to achieve
some most desirable designation such as manager or general manager in hotel industry. One of
the main reason behind this objective is that I have experience much experience in this industry.
Other one was my communication skill that help in attracting and convincing large number or
people at same time and that will be much beneficial for any hotel or restaurant in current times
