INTRODUCTION
Career pathways can be described as a series of connected and structured education programs as
well as support, services that enable students who are working to advance themselves with time.
In order to ensure career advancement, a person needs to select a career in the specific field in
which they want (Barthauer and et. al., 2020). This Project report includes factors that motivate a
person to choose specific career pathways. It also includes a career in which a person is
interested in pursuing. Moreover, it will need to discuss three practical steps that a person needs
to take in order to get into their career.
MAIN BODY
Factors motivate a person to choose this career pathway
Values: Career values can be described as personal principles which assist to define the ideal
professional environment of a person. These values are linked with environmental as well as
role-dependent characteristics which are essential for purpose of career advancement, success as
well as job satisfaction. There are different values that motivate a person to select a career that
allow them to move towards career development.
Strength: CareerEDGE model is one of the employability model which is important for purpose
of enabling students in order to reach to their full potential and also to become successful
graduate students with added values. I is a model which was introduced in the year 2007 that has
been taken positively. It is a model which is based on three things including self-confidence,
self-efficacy and self-esteem (Chin and et. al., 2019). It is a model which evaluates different things
including career development learning, generic skills, experience, emotional intelligence, degree
subject skills, understanding and knowledge. All these things help to understand their strength of
them which is essential to selecting a career field. I have strong communication skills and
decision-making skills which allow me to select a marketing career. It is important for purpose of
developing of new knowledge and learning.
Occupational interest: It is one of the models which was introduced by John L. Holland in the
year 1970. It is one of the theories which consist of ways in which the personality of a person
looks at the content of vocational choices and careers. It is a model that consists of six different
types of personality that can be identified by a person on basis of interest and ways in which a
person approaches situations of life. These types of personality in this model include realistic

I am interested to develop a career in marketing as it is one of fields which has various scopes in
the marketplace. It is an important carer field for me as I possess the skills and knowledge it
requires. It is required in all types of industry as marketing is required in order to understand
customers requirements and also helps businesses for purpose of adopting these requirements.
There are different trends in the marketplace and in order to understand all these trends,
businesses need to use different tools and analyses. I have also different skills like time
management skills, communication skills, problem-solving skills and others (Furlotti and et. al.,
2019). All these skills are required for purpose of motivating me to develop a career in the
marketing field. I also have different types of knowledge of marketing trends and also
understand different marketing tools and all of these provide me guidance to develop a career in
the marketing field.

information refers to quantitative and qualitative data which is based on spreadsheets, charts,
newspaper articles, graphs, tables, maps and other things. Labour market intelligence is a subset

To take admission in education field in the next 5 months.
Gaining experience:
In order to gain experience, I did internship during my holidays in the marketing field. There, I
have developed new knowledge and experience. I have decided to do this internship where I get
the position of a marketing assistant and I need to handle different responsibilities assigned to
me. Before joining this organisation, I was nervous but I join organisation without any hesitation.
I deal with different things as everything there does very smoothly (Kincaid and Smith, 2021). I did
some small mistakes but my seniors provide me with guidance that will motivate me to work
harder in the same direction. On basis of this support, I was able to complete all these
responsibilities assigned to me. In the end, I feel very happy as I have completed my work
successfully. It is an experience that provides me with new opportunities and also allows me to
meet new people. all these things make me happy in the end. In this experience, there are
different things that went well and different things which are not gone well. My skills and
knowledge help me during this experience to me and also support of my seniors assist me to
complete this task. There are some problems occur during this experience as I did not have prior
experience of working.
I, therefore, check customer data on a timely basis which will helps me to understand the
requirements and needs of customers. I also deal with different types of complaints of customers
related to products and services and also provide them a timely solution in order to meet their
requirements. All these skills and experience help me to find out new opportunities in the
marketing field and also helps to ensure my career growth (Lent and Brown, 2020). On basis of my
experience, I have learned new things related to marketing. I also develop various marketing
skills, personal as well as professional skills. All these are essential in order to find out new
opportunities. I have learned that an individual does not needs to be nervous instead needs to do
things in a confident manner.
Networking:
Business networking can be described as the process of the development of a mutually beneficial
relationship with other businesses and also consist of different potential customers and clients. It
is also creating benefits for business by getting intangible gain from communicating with other
professionals in the industry. I can develop a network by interacting with new people while
