INTRODUCTION
Career development plan is mainly defined as a written list which is inclusive of short-,
medium- and long-term goals. These goals are patterned by an individual in order to fulfil their
current as well as future job needs (Chow, Salleh and Ismail, 2017). Career development plan is
basically a planned sequence of informal and formal experience through which individual or
employee can gain advantage in terms of accomplishing their goals. The main purpose of this
plan is to reach to goals and aspirations in life with an effective planning process through which
individual can fulfils specific career goal. Present report is inclusive of a personal development
plan and career related goals along with SWOT analysis that help in accomplishing goals and
objectives of personality growth plan in an effective manner.

It is a vital management tool that facilitates and ensure effective and systematic analysis
of all the key strengths and weakness of an individuals along with having analysis of current
opportunity and threats so that a better conclusion can be made about the skills and areas that

changed and improved. Personal development plan is a structured framework that helps in
accomplishing career related goals according to set time basis. Mentioned below on personal
development plan is being given (Giirel and Tat, 2017). A personal development plan is basically
a documented plant that tend to outlie the goals and strength of an individual through properly

External engagement
External engagement is an important and essential aspect that help in developing individual
in an effective manner. It has been identified by me that with the help of external engagement
with the outside world of the classroom helped me in efficient manner. As it aids me in
developing my personal and professional competencies. With the help of external engagement, I
have experienced an opportunity through which I develop my number of skills that will help me
in future in accomplishing my objectives and short-, medium- and long-term goals. However due
to the outbreak of covid-19 and restrictions imposed by government on travel bans I have
engaged with organisation through online medium in which I spend almost five months in an
organisation which is associated to my career aspiration. The work experience during the
external engagement is positive, as I have developed certain skills like team working and
communication that will help in contributing my personal and professional development
(Sharma, 2019). Team working and communication skills plays important role in both student
and professional life during my time period in organisation. I have collaborated and coordinated
with other individuals that help me in developing my communication skill. By working with
others also develop my team working skills in an effective manner. Furthermore, in terms of
volunteering I spent one week in assisting others in terms of guiding them in an effective
manner. I have provided other individual a guidance and a direction to accomplish team roles
and assign task with a proper planning. However, in terms of study abroad due to the restriction
on travel I could not find the way to study abroad as to develop my skill and competencies from
University outside United Kingdom. According to my external engagement experience it has
been identified by me that covid-19 pandemic outbreak has significant impact on external
engagement, as due to this outbreak government across countries-imposed lock down and
restricted national, local and international travel. This affected my career as I did not find a pot a
way to study abroad and conduct my desk-based projects. However, with the help of online
methods I gained certain work experience and volunteer other individual from online methods.
However, with the help of online medium I develop certain skills like team working and
communication. Furthermore, it has been identified by me that the outbreak of covid-19
negatively influenced my life as my study and goals at some extent. The current situation have

significant impact upon my career development and other skills as in this I have to gain access of
number of online methods to accomplish my career objectives.

According to the above-mentioned report it has been concluded that career development
plan intitles short term and long-term goals through which individual can accomplish future and
current job objectives in an effective manner. This report states that personal development plan is
a documented plan that duly identify individual strength along with the manner through which
the goals can be fulfilled. Personal development plan identifies weaknesses and the way through
which individual can make improvement in the areas of weaknesses. From this report it has been
