Personal Statement

INTRODUCTION
I am John Edward, Director of IPV Construction limited, of age 40 years, residing in the
renowned city of Bristol, England. Today, whatever I am or wherever I have reached it is ll
because of my hard work, dedication, perseverance and positive attitude towards life. My on
going learning through out the entire career helped me in attaining the pinnacle in my personal
and professional life. I started my journey as a Carpenter in Sky Stairs Limited where I was
committed to my passion for more than 7 years and worked really hard to grow in my career
along with increasing the overall performance and profitability of Sky Stairs Limited. My keen
interest in this profession helped me in attaining this opportunity which shaped my entire
professional life (Kicska and et. al., 2020). I was creative in work that is why I survived for a
longer duration within Sky Stairs Ltd, and grew in career through acquiring communication and
team working skills. I was average in writing and communication skills but over a period of time
I came across several challenges and opportunity that contributed directly enhancing my
communication skills and personality development. At initial stage of my career I was placed in
a team to work efficiently, where everyone was aware of their respective job roles and duties so
that final project is completed with a given time frame while maintaining desired quality
standards. While working in a team, I experienced and analysed why team work is preferred at
workplace than any individual work (Ring and et. al., 2021).
I learned how to communicate with the peers, superiors and clients in order to bring
professionalism and positive attitude towards work. My superiors have taught me to address
everyone with respect and treat everyone with dignity. With lots of experience and set of skills
allowed me to get a better opportunity at Trackwork Resources Ltd., as a skilled plait layer. I
worked there for more than 6 years; from June, 2015 to January 2021. My determination towards
work and highly adaptability skills brought me at this stage where I am heading a team of almost
50 people and directing the organisation towards attaining its pre-defined goals and objectives
(Luo and et. al., 2020). During my long journey, I was adaptive to the complex and dynamic
working conditions and rapid changing environment that build my competitiveness and
competencies to work effectively within organisation. Sometimes while working a person face
many unplanned events that requires to react appropriate;y in desired manners so that nothing
gets wrong and problems can be overcome easily. For instance, while working on floor we faced
the difficulty of shortage of material to execute further activities due to which there was huge

amount of idle working hours. At that time, with my good problem solving skills, I managed the
work allocation effectively so that no worker is idle at workplace and there is efficient utilisation
of manpower. With my good decision making powers I saved the money and time of an
organisation that in turn resulted into increased profitability (Aguirre Pérez, Beleño Aricira and
Martínez Ruíz, 2020).
Furthermore, I believe that hard work, perseverance and honesty are the key to success in
the professional development of an individual which helps the person grow and rise in their
relevant stream or industry.
