1. INTRODUCTION
Focusing on career viewpoint is extremely essential for a student as it enable them in learning
regarding various occupations which suit well their respective experience and competencies and also
fit perfectly to student’s career preferences like skills, values and interest (McLaughlin, and Fearon,
2022). Hence, it is believed that the students should prepare for their ability or skills enhancement
and overall the career development so that they can the wise decision as ineffective decision can put
their career at a stake. Main aim of this report is to highlight career choice which I will make being a
student. This choice which will be examined is based on transportation industry. This report will
include a personal analysis on the basis of which a career action plan will be prepared.
2. PERSONAL ANALYSIS
It is most significant part of the job hunting practices. Without knowing who are you, what
you career value and what your strengths are, nobody not able to present themselves effectively to
recruiters. In CW1 course, I had pointed a lot of the information on Transportation industry and what
kind of knowledge, expertise and skills needs to work in respective industry. In transportation
industry interpersonal skills are always high ob professional agenda and abilities or qualities which
are especially significant are energy, drive, enthusiasm, analytical ability, perceptiveness, adoptability
and resilience (Omotayo, Kulatunga, and Awuzie, 2022). Now, based on the CW1 I will explain
or discuss regarding my own present aptitude, experience and knowledge.
Discussion on my personal skill
In this, after completing the given assignment, I have identified certain significant skill that I
possess. At first, what I have determined is that I have a good communication skill by which I can
effectively communicate with the people. Secondly significant skill that I have identified is that I have
a good knowledge about information technology which is very essential in Transportation industry.

Discussion on my personal experience and knowledge
Knowledge and experience that I gained from the CW1 is that to have good skill in
Transportation industry, it is essential to have both the adoptability and communication skill. The
thing that I develop in me after my graduation is that I have experience an excellent exposure in the
Transportation industry and my knowledge and understanding in this filed has become more strong.
By this, now I can work in this field easily. Transport management is mainstream management career
in which a person will face full range of the management challenges. Individual with right skill set are
keen to make difference, is likely to be in a great demand within transport industry (Samuel and
Moagi, 2022).
Strength and areas of the development
Here I will explain about the strength that will be helpful from in transpiration industry to
work efficiently. And I will also discuss about those area in which i need to improve and make some
effort to win over these lacking area.
Strength Explanation
Communication skill As communication skill is very essential in
Transportation industry, it does matter an
individual is a transport sales manager or
transport apprentice. Therefore, I am very well
in communication with my colleagues that help
me to make them listen to me.
Numerical and analytical skill As to become efficient transportation manager,
this skill is required to manage business
operation with the operational employees
(Senbursa ed., 2022). So I’m very good in
analytical skill as I can solve and numerical
issue very easily. It helps me to successfully
evaluate the varied operation at shop floor.
Adoptability As various changes take place on regular basis
in Transportation industry. Therefore, I am
capable to adopt these changes I can easily
adjust myself in new environment. So I am an
adoptable person who can work new changes.
Information technology This skill is considerable significant in the

Transportation system. I have also good
knowledge about the information technology by
which I am able to access the travel information.
By having this skill I can make efficient plan for
the Transportation system.
Area of development Discussion
Getting a proper experience in the functional
role
I have identified that if I want to grow in
Transportation industry, initially it require an
experience of working in functional role. By this
I can attain the target of respective field without
any difficulties and obstacles.
Management When I analysed my own self, then I identified
that most noticeable area or skill in which I will
ne to bring some improvement is management.
For this I need to learn some more about the
management of work, time and people so as to
be perfect in respective field.
Sound decision making As it is a foremost skill which is required to
become a transport manger. But here I am
lacking in this skill as I am not capable to take
sound and quick decision that make impact the
management of business operation in respective
field.
3. CAREER ACTION PLAN
It is a dynamic action planning document which is managed and owned by the individual
intended to reflect their enhanced career development learning (Sony and et. al., 2022). Vocation
activity plan is considered as unique arranging report possessed and oversaw by the youngsters
proposed to the mirror their prolonged profession advancement learning. Arrangement enables the
youngsters in setting their objectives, discuss the activities expected to attain these goals, focus on the
partaking in arranged exercise. Career action plan help the young people in:

From the above report it is concluded that knowing personal skill and developing or
improving these skill accordingly is a significant part of a person’s career development and
progression. The analysis has help in understating that various type of the skill and abilities which
may be applied when working in Transportation industry. Many approaches and strategies are adopted

by a manager of Transportation industry to train and maintain employee’s performance. A proper
training should be attained by the people to improve their skills. Therefore, it is analysed for this
discussion that if a person want to make his career in Transportation industry then it required a lot of
the skills to manage the work and employees. Hence, for this they need to develop their ability so that
they can perform efficiently in their chosen field.
